This was purchased as a gift for our 12yr old son. Packing was tight and well cushioned to avoid damage. The quality of the case and flute seem to be well made. If you are looking to purchase a unique instrument to amaze your friends or play on the trail this could be it.

Pretty good for twenty bucks or less. It whistles a little on the high notes though. Got shamed at a renfaire for buying it lol

This item is made out of ceramic and is very fragile ! Tone is nice though! Unfortunately it’s for my grandson who will probably break it soon

Got one for my son because he is a huge Zelda fan and he had been bugging me for one for a long time. Well, I decided to get him this one for Christmas and kinda expected it to be a gimmick and something that wouldn't work well if at all.Whoa! Was I ever wrong!!!Turns out the thing play kinda like a recorder and does in fact work. Not only does it work, it actually sounds really good. When I was young I remember playing recorder in school and this instrument reminds me of that but just in a different layout. Also, the sounds from recorders always seemed kinda pitchy and harsh, and you had to blow softer to get the low notes to sound right and it was difficult for people to learn how to get the air flow just right for some of those notes. With this instrument it is easy to get all the notes to sound great and the sound of the notes overall is more soothing and not harsh sounding. My son tried the recorder and hated it, but he loves using this and I hear him outside playing tunes he made up on it all the time.Just one word of caution about this though... It is made of ceramics so it will break if it is dropped. Just be careful with it and treat it like you would a more expensive instrument and you'll love it and it will last a long time!
