If the injury is still exuding then I would have to say no. The adhesive is mild but effective and the elasticity of the dressing also makes removal very easy and pain free without it sticking directly to the injury. As the injury dries then yes, these dressings will start to adhere to the wound but again, they’re not problematic to remove.

Q: My daughter has a weepy cut on the top of her foot that won't heal as it keeps rubbing on her shoe and the scab comes off Would this work?

Hello, this will not sorry, it is design to act as a barrier to allow exudate to pass through to a top dressing and keep new skin from being removed. Please try Hydraseal Hydrocolloid 7.5cm extra thin, available as a brand of ours on Amazon, this will be ideal. Zelador

Q: Can you cut these to a smaller size?

They come in seperate sealed bags, with a peel of backing. You should be able to cut to size very easily, but cannot reseal the bag. That said if I needed smaller size I would not hestitate to cut to size and selllotape to reseal the bag.

Excellent for people with thin skin... doesn't stick or tear

I bought this for my Dad who has very thin skin that cuts and tears easily. The hospital kept using elastoplast type plasters that ripped his skin when taking them off. This stuff protects the open wound without sticking and I then place an absorbant pad on top and use a self adhesive bandage to hold it all together. Work brilliantly. They can be a bit tricky to use the first time as they can fold and stick to itself, but with patience you soon figure out how to avoid this. Would recommend to anyone with thin skin.

Sticky and expensive.

Bought these to cover broken skin. It says they are non adhesive but very sticky so i’m not risking tearing the skin more when removing. Very expensive for just 5!

Thin Skin

I really like these dressing especially for my thin skin, I had a fall and tore the skin on my arm, the silicone dressing protects my wound and allows it to heal, while the non adherent dressing I put on top picks up any blood etc while it settles down, once it stopped leaking I could leave the silicone on on its own for a couple of days until I was confident that it had dried and was healing, so happy I have found these, would definitely recommend them for anyone with skin tearing issues 👍
