Q: If I am feeding to horses, should it be ground or can it be fed while whole?

I have fed both the whole and the ground. I prefer the ground powder as the bag is smaller and I think that my horse gets a better benefit from eating ground vs whole.

Q: can you grind these berries with a mortar and pestle

I usually get the powder but the berries are very small so I believe you should be able to crush them easily

Q: Is this berry fresh? i mean is it fragrant? (old product looses it's smell. should be pungent and aromatic, like fresh cracked pepper. thank you.
