Is this made in the USA?

It is my understanding that althhough originally made in the United States, its products are now mostly manufactured by Chinese suppliers.

Which set will I get if I purchase this? The one with the carrot being sliced lengthwise or the carrot sliced into multiple pieces?

My set has the carrot sliced lengthwise - much safer for little ones.

The box says for kids ages 3 and up. Just wondering if the pieces really are small enough for a younger toddler to swallow? My little girl is 18 mo.

My boys were 2 yrs old. They ability to hold the items and cut with wooden knife was developed after a few weeks. There are no small items that they could choke on. But the ability to achieve cutting might be frustrating fr an 18 month old. I love this set. I bought 2 because I have twins. I also bought the Birthday set for my 3 yr old grand daughter. Its nice they can pull apart and put back together.
