The initial smell is really strong. It smells just like hot chocolate but I find it to be honestly overwhelming and it makes me a little nauseous. After I’ve actually put it on my skin however, it has a much more faint, sweet chocolately smell that doesn’t really linger.As for how it actually is as an oil- I love it. I bought it because I get super dry skin but it’s soo much work to put lotion on my whole body and I wanted something lower effort. Although I find that it absorbs super fast which can make it kinda hard to spread, if you use a good amount and your skin isn’t absolutely dying of dryness then it’s easy to apply. I love layering it beneath a lotion, which locks in moisture and makes the lotion much easier to apply. I was planning on getting the Palmers cocoa butter lotion but I found a very similar product for much better value from Nivea which i recommend (can’t attest to how it actually compares because I haven’t tried palmers yet).I’ve noticed the oil makes my skin super soft and hydrated, and even helps a little with redness and evening out my skin tone. The bottle will last a while even if I use it on my whole body after every shower. I’ve noticed over time since using it I need to use less because my skin is less dry.Overall I definitely recommend it, especially if you’ve got dry skin but you’re super lazy.

I have KP, also known as chicken skin. I have been using this oil after my showers. I put it on right after I dry myself. It absorbs really quick. It’s like a dry oil almost. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and moisturized. It’s. Worked wonders for my KP. I’m 41 years old and it took me all my freaking life to find something that actually helped and it’s dirt cheap. The bottle of oil lasts me about two months or a month and a half if I’m really using a ton of it. I don’t skimp and it lasts me a long time. So it’s less than five dollars a month. You can’t beat that plus the results speak for themselves. I giva 10 out of 10. I love this stuff.

This is great goes in nice smooth smells great as expected I put mine in a soap pumper beside my tub so I can use it in my bath or put it on after It's nice and moisturizing

Smells wonderful and not too heavy and greasy. Absorbs into my skin quickly and doesn't feel slippery, just soft and smooth. Non irritating.

I really like Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Oil for its amazing hydration. It absorbs quickly into my skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth without being greasy. It works great for dry patches, and I’ve noticed a noticeable improvement in my skin’s texture.The only downside for me is the scent. While it’s not overpowering, I’m just not a fan of the cocoa butter fragrance. It’s a personal preference, though, and doesn’t take away from how effective the oil is. Overall, a great product for keeping skin moisturized and nourished.

I LOVE this so very much I already put two bottles into my cart on Amazon . It makes your skin so very soft and smells amazing it isn’t sticky at all you Skin will look soft and not dry at all . You can put it on while in the Shower and rinse it off or the way use it I put it on after I dried off after my Shower

Great product for keeping your skin moisturized. It also smells amazing. Clean and simple scent but even better paired with a Shea cocoa butter body butter. Love the price point!

The oil is easy to apply, makes your skin smooth and doesn’t easily dry off the skin as it lasts for long. The bottle size is not small but not large and has a good quality. The product will last for a short time though if you use it on a day to day
