Nice gate! Just what we were looking for.
We needed a gate on our patio deck to keep our dog from wander off. This was perfect! Light weight, stainless steel fasteners, easy to operate with one hand, adjusts to fit your opening, and easy to install.Checks all the boxes!Yes, like everyone else I wish it was a bit less expensive but.....it does everything so well I won't complain!

Sturdy Gate
Best outdoor pet gate I've tried. Easy to install. Works well.

Very nice, simple gate. Keeps dog on porch.
This is a great gate. We needed it to keep our dog from leaving the porch. The reviews that say it’s too complicated to open, are simply not true in our experience. It’s a good, simple gate, looks nice installed, made very well, and at a great price. It appears to be made well enough to last a long time. It’s stable, a perfect height, and moves easily. I would purchase again, if we ever need another.

Nice gate. Odd latch.
Very solid gate. I'm using it on my pool steps to the deck. More for dogs than children. Easy to install. The only draw back is the odd latch. May need to rethink this, but it is functional.

Best gate on the market bar none
The standard to which all baby and pet gates should be measured. Sturdy, easy to install, looks nice and don't stand out like the cheesy plastic interior of a 90's domestic car that so many of these things do. I can't attest to how well it works for children, but we have these throughout the house and they hold back our three Weimaraner dogs without difficulty. Picture is of the most recent purchase, which also has the extension they make.

A lifesaver
Sharing a yard when both families have dogs can be stressful, especially when my pup is not really dog friendly. This gate took the worry out of her being outside. Easy to install and is stable. Works great!

Easy to install, but accessories didn't fit properly.
Several reviews I read prior to purchasing this mentioned that the directions were hard to follow. I had no problems with them except they should state that the directional tab needs to be installed on the lower screw of the latch bracket. One issue I did have (and the reason for the 3 stars) was that I needed to order the extension for where I needed the gate. The holes on the extension did not match the main gate and brackets, they were off by about 1/2 screw diameter. I did get the screws to start and just forced them to screw down but I am not sure what the long term effect of that will be.I will also state that the set-screws for locking the length of the gate need to be a bit longer. They almost screwed in so far that they would fall through. I plan to replace them with some truss head screws when I get a chance to get some stainless ones.

Don’t be dumb like me
For what the gate is, it’s great, light weight and a gate. Now, don’t be like me. First of all, I saw all the pictures and thought hey that throughway looks just like mine. Great, it’ll fit. Except my throughway is apparently not a standard size. I ended up needing the extension. Thank goodness they have one. Secondly, don’t separate the two parts of the gate during unboxing. Otherwise you WILL have to research how to put them back together. It’s like one of those brain puzzles where you try everything but the actual solution. Then you go “ohhhhhhh!!” They have easy to find videos on the topic, so score. Thirdly there’s a bracket with all sorts of stickers and instructions in all caps and bold saying “THIS END UP.” I followed the instructions to a T and it didn’t work. That’s because I had the GATE upside down. I don’t think the instructions specify, but a normal person might reference the pictures for that sort of thing. Here’s where I wish I would have done more research and the point I learned that there are some things about gates that I have taken for granted in my lifetime.1. I wish there were a spring to guide the gate back to the latch.2. To open, you have to pinch latch downward and lift gate upward. Not a one handed operation. But will be good for young kids and pets who can’t figure it.3. Even if it had a spring, it would not go back in the latch automatically as you have to lift the gate for that. I actually like this feature because you won’t mindlessly swing the gate back and assume it latched itself. You have to be deliberate about closing it. It’s less likely for a “gate didn’t catch” incident. But inconvenient for high traffic or single handed maneuvering. For what it is, it’s good. I will keep it. I should have done a little more research for my personal needs but it does what I need it to do. And I’ll be fine.
