Q: What is the difference between the john paul select murula oil and the leaky murula oil ? All I see is the john paul is $29 and the leakey is $59

I tried to figure this out a while back with no luck. Logo is the same. As far as I can find out, the John Paul is a Paul Mitchell brand, complicated by the fact that they are coming out with a separate Marula line for hair. There is no clue at the Leakey website. I give up!

Q: Has anyone noticed a strong, somewhat rancid odor to this oil?

I have always noticed a pleasant light citrus smell. I have heard that on rare occassions it may have a slight "nutty" smell to it, as it comes from marula nut. Check to make sure the cap was not loose or leaking when you got the bottle, exposing it to long term air and moisture. I really like this oil.
