Fixed HDCP error
My problem that needed fixing: Out of the blue we get the HDCP Error Detected on ONE of my TV's. Not the others. Could not see video, just the error message. Audio still came through fine. The TV in question is an older TV, a SONY Bravia. Still works perfectly, exceot for this problem. We use Roku Ultra devices to view our TV sources (Youtube TV, Netflex, Primve Video, etc...).Like I have stated, all of a sudden we get the HDCP Error Detected screen on the one TV only, not the others which we also use Roku Ultra devices to connect to our video sources.I did my research and realized that my old TV has the original HDMI input (1.0? 1080P max.). It will never support the latest versions of HDMI that are required for HDCP and fix this error. And I am NOT going to throw this TV away and buy new for this unless I absolutely have to.I determine that to fix this you need to purchase a splitter that will "strip" away HDCP. After much more research, I chose this model. It WORKED! It does strip away the HDCP and eliminated the error. We are back to normal TV viewing on that older TV.Also, it did come with a power supply, some reviews said it did not, mine did.So for Roku Ultra connecting to and old flat screen TV that is getting the HDCP error, this splitter did fix it for me.Hope this review helps. jp

Does not Work when power plugged to wall but does work when not plugged in !
I bought this splitter to bypass the hdcp in n the ps3 through the el gato capture card. I connected everything as indicated but the device did not work. The light for power on the splitter was on and the light at the power adapter was on but the blue lights where the hdmi plugs go into never came on as it indicates it’s supposed to, to acknowledge the connectivity. I tried many different things, as I was giving up and began to unplug the power from the wall outlet first, all the lights came on and everything started to work. The problem is, the ac adapter is not plugged to anything and yet everything works. When I plug the ac power adapter to an outlet everything stops working. Not sure why the deal is. I’ll have to return it.

Caution with cable length
This splitter would not drive either a 25' or a 50' Citi Gold series cable. When I tested by attaching it at the monitor end so that it had only a 6' output cable, it finally worked. Beware that you will likely need to add a repeater to get any distance.I'm giving one star because1. If it can't push even 25' I believe this should be brought prominently to the buyer's attention. People usually want to split monitors some distance, as from room to room, not right next to each other.2. After 5 minutes holding for Sanoxy tech support, you're given the instruction to leave a message. Goodbye.I have since spoken with Sewell tech support twice about their splitters and repeaters. The rep answered quickly and was very helpful. They state a 50' limit on their splitter, absent a repeater. And still no word from Sanoxy. So back goes the Sanoxy and I'm giving Sewell a try. (I'm an end user and have nothing to do with their company).Hope this helps someone.UPDATE:* A week later - still no word from Sanoxy. My return labels are printed.* THE PICTURE DOES NOT REPRESENT THE PRODUCT RECEIVED. Rather than a metal box as in the picture, it's a plastic box with rounded corners/sides - clearly not the unit pictured. See more below.* I purchased a Sewell splitter that didn't work either. Everyone now convinced it was a cabling problem.* Resolution: I then purchased this Sewell splitter:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003B4O7NS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00. It's a square box, like in the Sanoxy picture.Three splitters I had to try but, it works!!! NOTICE that the Sewell unit in the link above appears to be the same as shown in the picture of the Sanoxy here BUT again, I did not receive the Sanoxy unit shown here and I suspect you won't either.Go for the Sewell in the square metal box and I bet you save the time and aggravation that I went through. Also, when you call tech support, they pick up the phone.

Great item for great price
The primary reason for this product was to be able to split my Direct TV feed between the 2 TVs in my bed room. I had recently moved and inherited another TV and I figured the best thing for this would be able to play my video games on one TV and be able to watch the sports on the other TV. I found this product from a list of others and felt it was a great price and was highly rated before. I ordered this on December 24th, 2013 expecting the product to take weeks to get to me as I choose the free shipping selection. However I received this item a week later on the 31st and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the seller was able to process my order and ship it out given the holiday week. As for the item it works great! It requires a standard plug in to power the system and is a passive one in which it takes my Direct TV feed and splits it into 2 without enhancing or requiring a switch between sources which allows me to watch my show on both TVs at the same time if I would like. Anyways I would strongly suggest this item and seller to anyone who is looking for a similar product. The only complaint I have is the LED light used to indicate the connection is a light blue which is very overwhelming at night in the bedroom where I have it set up. I was however able to combat this as best as possible by burying it in the entertainment system but was amazed at how bright it is as I was able to see things clearly in the room with just the blue LED lights.
