When I got this flower, it was dead. It had already grown some, and it was in terrible shape. I am going to plant it and see if it will come back to life. I will never recommend this to anyone else and will never buy this again.

I sent a message to the seller on 1/27/23 informing them that the bulb failed to flower. NO RESPONSE FROM SELLER. I sent a message to Amazon about this also on 1/31/23. NO RESPONSE FROM AMAZON EITHER! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER! Your bulb kit may not grow, just like mine. It produced 4 stems but no flower spike or bloom. Extremely disappointed!

My friend loved, loved, loved the plant and container.

I ordered 7 of these bulbs. Half of them were blooming when the recipient opened the box, and the stem was twisted out of shape and the bloom could not be saved. Disappointing.

UPDATE 2/3/24: I talked to the seller, and she said the ones stored at a Amazon warehouse for quick shipping to prime members don't get rotated out as they should, not factoring in they're "live" plants, so it was sitting on a shelf too long. She's sending me a new one, but said the original could be saved with proper care. She was very nice and knowledgeable and told me to call if I have any other questions. After 72 hrs under a grow light in a pot and some water it is turning green and the smaller stalk is straightening up on its own. The larger stalk is supported with a kabob stick. The blooms may not open this year but they should next year. Lots of TLC in the ICU but it's coming around. I added updated pics.I wish I had read the reviews before making this purchase!! I opened the box expecting only a bulb as shown in the product pictures. Instead I found two stalks and a bloom that haven't had ANY SUN OR LIGHT so they're white instead of green. I've potted it and have it under a grow light. Other reviews don't leave me very hopeful though. Very disappointed.

This was to be a gift for a caregiver. When it finally arrived yesterday, January 10, the outer box appeared fine, no damage. Upon opening, however, the red box had opened and the contents spilled out. The other items were undamaged but the actual bulb had bloomed inside its box. It had a bloom stalk and a leaf stalk, both white and mushy. The bulb itself was soft and rotten with mold on the root end. There is no saving this bulb. I had ordered and received several amaryllis and Christmas cactus from Amazon in December. All were in good health, most had been packed with a heat packets to protect the plants/bulbs. All the other amaryllis have broken dormancy and are growing well. The Christmas cactus arrived with minimal bud drop and are also doing well. They were all from different vendors through Amazon. I can only believe that this vendor cares very little about the care and health of it's product and even less about their customers. I will not be ordering from them again.

Order 6 of these kits as gifts for my staff. When they arrived all the bulbs has already bloomed and the flower was dead. The fun of this gift is watching the whole cycle of the developing flower. I ordered a replacement and the NEW 6 kits arrived exactly as the original ones. Now I have to return two large boxes, 12 kits in total. Very disappointing experience.
