This sticks good to a cleaned (sanded and oil free) oil pan, heats fast but you will have to monitor or set up a timer switch. Works great with the SYLVANIA SMART Bluetooth Outlet.I now have 2 of them one for a truck that sits out on below 0 degree days helps a lot, and the other is on a airplane to preheat before I get there.I will buy more.

This heating pad is not Joke. Warms up fast. Sticks to oil pan. Very nice

The package made it to my home. The best thing about this order.I prepared the surface above and beyond. Nothing worked. It never glued.

They do stick quite well to clean surfaces. It's easy in engine compartments and even new batteries to have a thin coating of oil and dirt on them that will cause problems with most adhesives so it must be clean. If in doubt it can be good to mechanicaly secure the heating pad.They are simple devices and the dozen or so I've used all seem to work quite well. Do note that they do not have a thermostat built-in and can get quite hot when not attached to a battery or other 'heat sink'. Works as well as more expensive brands we've tried (some that don't even have the adhesive)

It gets very hot but it’s tiny so it only heats a very small area, and most of the heat is lost to the ambient air because it is not insulated at all.It stuck to the pan just fine and it heat the oil a bit very high energy consumption on the unit. Just in general not happy with it would not buy another one.
