Sony ICD-UX570 Series Digital Voice Recorder (Black) with Built-in USB Bundle with 32GB microSD and Hard Carrying Case

I was hesitating to buy this voice recorder, there are too many of them at Amazon, this was not the cheapest one, after a week of watching reviews, and reading what customers write on all the items that I have previously selected, I decided to pay a little more, and maybe, just maybe it would be a good buy, and not something I will regret buying as soon as I get it. Please let me tell you, I am pleased, this recorder is very small, i can fit it everywhere, I used it to take notes while I'm driving, background noise is there obviously, but my voice is clear i can hear every word with no hassle, controls are easy, and battery last a lot. Just one suggestion, you have to buy a USB cord extension to charge it on your computer, please take a look at my second picture, when you leave it inserted in the Laptop USB port to charge, the recorder weighs too much for the USB port and it bends downward, this can maybe damage both USB male(voice recorder) and female(laptop) ports, is strongly recommended to buy a short USB Extension cord, so the voice recorder can rest on a flat surface not imposing stress to both ports.

I did quite a bit of research to find a recorder I could use to help take meeting minutes in a 20x30 foot room. The Zoom recorder I purchased fit my requirements for sound quality and features, but the command sequences to use those features were far from intuitive. When I missed recording an entire meeting because I’d missed one part of the 6 step sequence required to start recording, I had enough and returned the recorder.The second choice after the Zoom, was this Sony recorder. It has lots of features too, not as many as the Zoom, but who cares! Slide the power on, press the record button and the Sony just works. My only complaint is that power and data transfer is by a slide out USB port that that is the sole support of the recorder. It is a flimsy setup. Otherwise, completely happy, good quality, and no more lost meeting minutes.

The recorder worked great for a conference I went to. Sound quality was good. It was easy to start and stop the recording.I would have gave it 5 stars but the process of transferring the recording off the recorder was long and took multiple steps. It should just be a quick plug into the computer and copy mp3 files not having to install proprietary software to do it.

This is a fantastic recording unit.I sing in choruses and quartets and record often.The sound quality is fantastic and it is easy to use.

This recorder is light weight and easy to use. There is alot of memory on this recorder. The one thing I wish is had built in was a connector for MAC.

Size is perfect, battery lasts a good while. Audio quality is good. Easy to connect to a PC to get the audio files.

There were no instructions included. Had to pull up the info on my computer. I believe it will be satisfactory after I use it awhile. TRULY..it is TINY but it is packed with data!

I use this to record in-class lectures so I'm only using the basic features of it. It's lightweight and easy-to-use which I like. I also like the simple USB interface.I use the built-in microphone and it does the job admirably, however, I also set the recorder near the lecturer, so it ought to do well.Because most smartphones can do the same job, I would say this is a nice-to-have rather than a need-to-have. However, there are a few benefits over a smartphone:- If I forget to retrieve it after a lecture, I haven't lost a very expensive phone.- Using it instead of my phone saves my phone battery.- I can let people borrow it, or send it to class with a classmate without having lost my phone.
