Book With No Pictures, The

I bought this for a friend's son and I had a blast reading it myself. This book is great to encourage some bonding, where the adult lets their guard and makes those silly noises in the book, it is very engaging and very funny and warm too.

This book is quite expensive. I got it at rs 267.It turned out to be a hit with my 5 year old though. He absolutely loves when i read it to him. And what more, he has started reading this book himself. Before this book, he has never showed inclination to 'read', (which is fair, he is only 5) and preferred to just look at pictures. This book changed that. Everyday, he has been reading this book to everyone in the family and laughs uncontrollably at the silly things in the book.I still think it is quite expensive though.

It is one of the most innovative idea (no pictures) for a children's book where sentences do all the trick and you can't stop bursting into a laughter.From saying 'I am a monkey who taught myself to read' to singing 'Glug Glug Glug, my face is a bug, I eat ants for breakfast right off the rug', this book actually makes GROWN-UPS say silly things. Read sentences in SILLY way/voice and see your kids have a hearty laugh at your expense.Everytime, the sentence comes 'Can I stop reading it yet', my 3-year-old pint-sized toddler says 'NO'.Best is saved for the last when you read 'THE END- BONK, I DID NOT WANT TO SAY THAT'. My kid says 'READ IT AGAIN'.

This book embrasses in a jocular manner by making you read it loudly. I loved the fun. Let your hair down and enjoy the book

I bought this book for my 3 year old niece. She didn't take to it the first couple of times so I knew I had to make it more interesting. Once I got in dramatic pauses and shrill squeaks and squawks, she was hooked! I now love reading the book to her and her giggles and prodding me on the read the book at every turn it worth every minute spent. An awesome investment for a book that even adults could enjoy with children.

Got the paperback version. Quality is very good. Lots of silly words and noises make for tonnes of fun reading with little nieces

This book makes grown ups say silly things

Before I got my copy, I wondered about this book for several months and wasn't so sure if my son would like it or not. I received my copy just yesterday and already this book has been read more than 5 times. It has been a total HIT in my home.But a rule of caution for parents -*************************************This book works only if you are able to read it with all expressions and funny voices.A plain text read may not appeal to your child, and you may feel that you lost money at this purchase.My advice,**************buy it only if you know you will be able to do justice to the book as there aren't any pictures to keep children hooked.It only depends on parents/ other grownups to make it interesting.For those who are able to make it interesting, it really is worth every penny spent.
