These work well
I bought these a few months back and have been using them in a Cessna 172. While these are not ANR quality, they do reduce noise levels substantially. Also the mic is very good and both air traffic control and my instructor on check out rides comment on the quality of the transmissions.I have worn these for up to 2 hours with no discomfort. How they'll do in a warbird remains to be seen.

Fantastic Headset for the Price
I bought this headset a couple years ago to be used as a passenger headset, but I have used it myself a couple of times just to see how it is, and this is by far the best starter headset you can get for your money. If you are a student pilot that needs a headset, but doesn't want to spend big in case if you don't stick to flight training, I would highly recommend this, as well as those who are just looking for a decent passenger headset. There isn't a lot of bells and whistles to it, but it is fairly comfortable, and there is also an aux port on it, which is super nice to see.

comfortable headset
They are easy to adjust and comfortable, the mic boom adjusts very nicely. The connection cord is too short, I will have to modify the cord clamps in my railcar to route the cord out of my way. I will not get a chance to test the audio quality for several weeks.

Worked Beautifully!
Very nice looking and very comfortable headset. I bought them last part of July '22 and used them very recently. The microphone did not work, sound was sporadic. Very disappointed with this headset and microphone.UPDATE #2: Flew today for 2.5 hours. The headset worked flawlessly. Both hearing ATC comms and voice transmission had zero problems. I suspected this might be the case and that the original problem may have been related to a bad connection in the plane. But, at that point I just couldn't tell which. As such, I've changed my rating to 5 stars and highly recommend them. On this note, the pilot I flew with today asked whether I liked the Rugged Air headset. I told him the same. Highly recommended. They are as comfortable, if not more so, as David Clark's.UPDATE #1: I tested them yesterday in the C172 and have changed my rating to 3 stars because the Mic seemed to work as I could transmit and hear myself through the ear covers. There was no traffic at the airport so I did not hear anyone but myself. A couple radio checks yielded no replies, but I could hear myself perfectly. So, at this point I still have no definitive complete detail to provide. The C172 will not be ready and available again until after the period for returning and exchanging it. So, at this point it’s a gamble. All that said, this is an exceptionally comfortable headset. As far as comfort is concerned they are clearly on par with David Clarks. On the 23d I’ll post a complete review and if warranted change my star rating. At this point Im remaining hopeful and optimistic.

Dual plugs and loud crisp sound
Works like a charm. Loud crisp sound. Dual plugs. Gel ears fit snug. I put the gel covers on and they worked great too.

Spend more, don't buy these. Seriously.
I was feeling quite smug that I could get a pilot headset for 1/3 of what the more established brands cost.I don't feel so smug now. These lasted and seemed to work just fine for three brief instruction flights, maybe 7 hours at most. Then they basically imploded. First one of the adjustment screws literally flew off as I normally and gently took off the headset at the end of the flight. Then both ear pads randomly just fell off, then the second adjustment screw similarly failed despite not being abused in any way. They sounded fine, but honestly these are so badly made that they are dangerous if you are expecting to ever use them as the PIC. Other people have had better luck than me, so maybe roll the dice on these if you just need some cheap headset for a rare passenger. But really no one who is going to be actually flying the airplane, expected to hear and communicate with ATC etc. should be depending on these. If they failed this easily and this spectacularly, there is no reason to think they wouldn't break on you in the middle of a flight, and that could be dangerous. They broke 3 days after the return period. So now I am off to go spend the big $$ on a quality headset after totally wasting my money on these.
