Bought two of these to stop looking at the phone to see who is calling. These annunciate the phone number between rings 1 and 2. The speaker is male and the speech is quite clear. The volume is set by pressing a button. When you release it the voice says something which gives you the new volume. The volume can't be set extremely low.

Works spradically - not dependable. Will not work with AC adapter, even though directions state that it will.

Works as it claims
Bought this for a visually impaired family member. It only announces the number, not name. Only real drawback. Decent price. Has worked without incident for about 4 months. Very happy with this product.

Works great!
This device shouts clearly the callers number and can be understood easily at 20 ft away as long as it is put in an open spot (not shoved in a corner of a room). Functions fine - one year + after purchase.

Great item for the price
Classco Caller ID Voice Announ Telephone.Product offers the services the description claims. Small size electronic equipment, but it is loud enough to be hear throughout the entire house. I am please with it, but I wish it would have the name announcement as well as the phone number as I do not always remember people's phone numbers.Certainly a good buy for the price.

Best Caller ID on the market
The Caller ID Voice Announce is a great product. The caller's number is annouced verbally once the phone starts ringing so you no longer need to get up to go to the caller id box or search for the phone. You don't even have to be in the same room as the caller ID as the voice can be heard very easily from great distances. If you want to answer the call, that's the only time you need to get to the phone. I love this product.

Solid and Reliable
This is a great solution to plain caller id. I am so used to hearing who is calling that when I visit friends homes and the phone rings, I find myself listening for the VA500 to announce who it is.
