My 2 years old laptop model is Dell Vostro 15-3568 in case u wanna know. Previous HDD was Toshiba 1 tb and my laptop was getting very slow recently or maybe i was getting impatient. The app loading times and restarting was getting slower than ever. This is not a high end laptop series but still this performance was just too weak. So, i did some research and found out that even if u have i3, i5 or i7 high end processors it wont matter if u are still using 5400 or 7200 rpm HDD(s) in ur machines ,eventually that brought up the idea of upgrading the laptop from HDD to SSD. There is no m.2 or nvme SSD slot on this model, if you wanna know. I installed it myself it was easy once u have the tools. As you can see in the picture the read n write speeds are 560 n 512 and before with the toshiba HDD it was 110 n 110 resp. You can buy 128 or 256 Gb SSD and use it to run the os and put caddy in place of optical drive for your old HDD for storage to use both in ur laptop. I went for 1 tb and will use the old HDD as external for storage with an adapter. Now, the restart time is reduced a lot it boots up in the blink of an eye, and even the heavy apps like adobe premiere starts so quickly. Its totally worth it.

Loved the sturdy setup and fits superbly into my IBM T440p SATA slot. I guess the speed and performance has got atleast a 10X boost. Highly recommend to switch to this product ahead of a RAM upgrade or replacement. This should take care of all your needs. Lighting speed is all I can say if I have to compare it with my old SATA 720 rpm hard drive.

Crucial SSD is very good in condition. Working fast as expected. As of now no issues
