The Best!
Let's 'talk' about this foundation! I think it's really excellent! I don't wear a lot of makeup, but nearly everything that I do use comes from Jane Iredale.I'm 67 years old now. Previously, I used (and often recommended) another well known loose mineral foundation for many, many years. But, as time went on, I began to notice that it was not working well. It no longer looked good on my more mature skin. So, I did a lot of research (and read a lot of reviews). I discovered Jane Iredale products, and I'm never going back! I think this loose mineral foundation is quite incredible! I use the Warm Silk shade in the winter months and Amber during summer months. It's so natural looking (but better!) It's quite apparent that my sensitive combination skin loves this product, and I've gotten compliments on my skin since I switched. I always apply it after moisturizing, and then I do a light spritz of Jane Iredale nourishing hydration spray. After facing several health challenges, I've become very careful about what products I bring into my home and what products my family and I use. I am always looking for natural, healthy, safe ingredients. And this is definitely one of them. I hope my experience is helpful for someone else.

Love this product
I've always been a cream or liquid foundation gal. Have used everything from drugstore to high end. Always thought, because I'd read, not to use powder on a mature face, but happy to say this powder is awesome! It lays so well on the skin for a natural finish. Build able in areas that need a little more attention. I apply with a flat brush in downward strokes, per the video and it blends so nicely. It doesn't dry out my skin or settle into lines. I am 64 use retin a at night and Paula's choice exfoliation bha/aha in the morning, so my face is on the drier side, but I use a good Moisturizer under the product and perfectly happy with result.

Finally a powder foundation light enough for my skin!
I just turned 41, and have finally conceded that liquid foundation no longer works for my mature skin. So, powder it is. Only issue is, all powder base is too dark, and too orange. Even the lightest Bare Minerals shade makes me look like an oompa loompa. I heard about this product on a review site, and decided to take a chance. And I LOVE IT.Case in point: This photo is unfiltered and unretouched. Yeah I know they all say that, but seriously take a look, zoom in if you want, you can clearly see my skin texture and fine lines. None of it has been artificially blurred, it's 100% the makeup doing this. This stuff makes my skin look like it did when I was 20.It melts into my skin, it looks great, the only drawback is you won't get FULL-full coverage like you can with a good concealer, but that's true of all powder foundations, not just this one. If you have mature skin, this is the one for you. If you have oily skin and want to switch to powder, this is for you. And if you're practically albino with cool undertones like I am, this is for you.

Great find
Purchased on Prime Day. What a great find and appears to me talc free. The brush comes with two powder cartridges. Very easy to install. So far, the brush doesn't appear to leak out powder like other brands I've tried. Go to the actual brand's website if you are unsure of what color to purchase, since there are better photos to try an do a color match. Also, there is a major online beauty company that sells this brand where you could probably use their color match tool. The powder seems to keep shine away, and I have combination skin. I'm not sure if the cartridges could be re-filled with loose powder or not. When I watched the video on the Amazon site, it appeared as if they could be re-filled. I took a star off because the brush itself is quite big. It can be taken in a purse but will take up alot of space in a makeup bag.

Quick, natural looking makeup for everyday
I learned of Jane Iredale loose mineral powder from my esthetician several years ago, and I've been using it ever since. (My sister uses the pressed mineral powder, which is the same product pressed into a compact.) I start with sunscreen and under eye brightener, then do a quick dusting of the mineral powder base over my face with a large, soft makeup brush. It couldn't be quicker to apply foundation! This mineral powder base contains SPF as well, so I feel I have good sun protection. Amazing Base is "buildable", so if you want more coverage, just apply another dusting of the powder. I find the coverage very natural looking, and it evens out my coloring. As the powder is warmed by your skin, it becomes creamier looking. It wears beautifully, staying fresh looking all day - even in summer, when liquid foundation can "melt". A nice features for the jar is the sifter cover underneath the cap: it has many perforations, and you decide how many of them you want to poke open with the point of a scissor, enabling you to customize how much of the powder is dispensed with each shake of the jar. You shake shake a portion of powder into the jar's lid, swirl your makeup brush into the powder to distribute it evenly over the brush's surface, then tap off the excess powder right back into the lid before stroking the powder over your face. I find that a jar of Jane Iredale Amazing Base lasts quite a long time, so I feel it is a good value. Because it's a powder, it's also easy to see when the product is running out - something I found difficult to determine when I used liquid foundation, because the foundation would "dye" the sides of the bottle. Having worn makeup for more than forty years, I truly think this is a great product for any age and any skin type.

Much smaller than anticipated
While the product is fine, the size is significantly smaller than comparable products. I typically justify the cost because the container lasts 6 months to a year for me. This is about a 3 month supply (for someone who wears very little). I couldn’t justify purchasing this a second time.
