These are high quality stamps, and the font is fun! The font can be a bit hard to read at times.Also, one thing i could NOT find about these was if they will work on leather. They are not made for leather, but I tried it anyway. They worked pretty well! I would upload a pic, but I made address labels with them and forgot to do a sample pic for the review. Trust me though, for a beginner leather stamping job, I think they worked just fine :)

These have been great on aluminum blanks so far. I barely have to tap at all to get an imprint. On that note, they also work well on pewter without issue. You really don't need a hard strike. With bronze and brass, as well as pennies, I do need to strike a bit harder with my 2 lb hammer, but only marginally so. I did attempt to practice on 26 gauge steel, but without much luck. It was hardware store quality, though, so likely hardened. I haven't had a chance to test on jewelry 304 or 316 stainless. I imagine it would work, but need a heavy strike and possibly damage stamps over time. Overall, good stamps and I can tell what each says.I'm not super fond of the 4 in this set, though, because it's the open style 4 and kind of resembles a Y depending on the metal. I ultimately decided to get the newsprint set just get the 4 out of the set that looks more like a triangle. The Newsprint and Bridgette sets mix well together.

I needed these for a small delicate blank to stamp a birthdate. These are the smallest stamps I found.

i really wanted to like this. I like the type writer font... but it is way too small, and when you impress this on copper, the entire letter does not come out. I had to go back and try to press it again (used a hammer and a steel block for this), and it still did not come out. Luckily this is within the return period so it is being returned.

I'm brand new to metal stamping and these stamps were super easy to use. I made personalized necklaces for our daughter's volleyball team using aluminum 1" Round w/hole blanks and 5/8" Rectangle Tags. It took me a few blanks to get the hang of where to place the stamps and how hard / soft to hit them with the hammer, but I got the hang of it. I originally tried to use these on zinc metal washers from Lowes, and just couldn't hit it hard enough to make a clear impression, so that was a learning point - needed softer metal. These stamps are "deeper" than the shape stamps I used, so a lighter "tap" was sufficient to make the impression. I used a black sharpie pen to darken the impressions and wiped the excess away with alcohol on a cotton pad. Would recommend and buy again.
