Will work as a perfect replacement for the plastic mixer bowl

Wifey dropped our original Oster blender jar on the tile floor. Although it was a tough jar and only broke into a few pieces, it was a gonner. Found this replacement on Amzn, and was skeptical that it would fit the base properly, and accept the blade assembly and lid properly. It was all a perfect fit. Sure beats buying a new blender, our US made blender is back is business.

The square 5 Cup Glass Square Top Blender Jar, cap and blades fit perfectly on our 50+ year old Osterizer Imperial VIII blender.The blender is used once to twice daily especially now since we are creating and consumming smoothies as a main stay in our meals. We prefer using the old faithful heavy duty blender and recently were mildly devastated when the original blender jar slipped from wife's hands breaking into myriad shards on our tile floor. I was able to identify and order this replacement from Amazon.com. All is well now -- Thanks JSH

This served its purpose up until it broke. It saddens me whenever a product isn't used properly but honestly this isn't the products fault only that it's glass and not plastic. The only reason it's not a five star it's because. Find the shape of it to be difficult to clean and if you don't rinse as soon as it's done being used it can be difficult to clean.

I could not use it

It is rare than a product bought about 50 years ago still has replacement parts. Mine is an Avocado Green blender bought as a student in my first year at school. I finally tossed the old plastic scratched to translucent blender jar with a nice new glass one.The blender base still works as well as the day it was bought. I have had others with too many buttons and this keeps it nice and simple.
