Perfect fit for 2007 RX350
The hood support strut went bad on my 2007 RX350 and I needed a replacement. I went with this one and it was a perfect fit! No need to worry about the hood slamming on my head anymore. Installation is fairly easy just get a small flat head screw driver and pull the metal clips back, slide the socket over the ball and release the clip. It can be a little tricky as the clip will slide up and really needs to stay in the middle of the socket to lock on to the ball. If you are more of a visual person you can look up install videos on Youtube.One side note if you are a Lexus Owner. My old hood strut was actually permanently attached at the bottom socket. I had to use a dremel tool to cut it off the ball. Not a knock against this product at all just a fyi in case you cant find a clip on the bottom end of the hood strut that is currently attached to your vehicle.
