You will need to fold the labels over together to create a tab but there are still 24 individual tabs included on each sheet. You do not need to use two separate labels to make one tab.

No, it sticks to one side, then the two sides of the printable piece stick together.

Q: Can you change the background color on the template from Avery to have these print in color?

the template opens in microsoft word. You can use any color of font that your computer.printer is capable of. you can also set background colors but that is a bit tricky and probably should only be attempted by someone who really knows the nuances of Microsoft word. I'v e been using these for several years and have only i=used shades of blue and black, though.
