That allows you to \"aim\" the liquid somewhat. We poured the cleaner onto the grout and gave it a few strokes with this brush - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004OCLR/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . It was nothing short of amazing. We have white grout that had taken on a greyish tinge with age. This product brought it back to brand new with very little effort. I did use a water extraction device (Rainbow) to remove the chemical. The same could be accomplished with a wet / dry vac and a few rinsings.
