The difference you are seeing is in the shipping and Amazon fees. At petsmart if you order it and want it shipped in 2 days the total is $43.99 unless you buy enough stuff to qualify for free shipping. In that case you get standard shipping which can take anywhere from 3-7 days. Although a prime membership gets you free shipping for totals over $25 it does not account for the cost to get product shipped to the Amazon warehouse

I went onto the Only Natural Pet website as they will give you instructions with their foods on serving size according to weight and portions based on their scoops, the ounces to be fed. For every 10 pounds of weight you feed 1 scoop (provided in the bag), which is a 1.5 ounce portion. For an 80 lb dog, that would be 12 ounces; even though this product has such a density of meat/protein, I would back that to 10 or 11 ounces, since I'm sure you supplement with other foods/treats through your pittie's day. I alternate foods for my 14.5 Shih-Tzu, and when feeding him this, I give him 1 heaping scoop with his other treats & foods. As I said this is a protein, nutrient and meat dense food. It looks like the kind of beef jerky we humans eat. So with all this being said, if you feed 10 ounces a day a 10 pound bag gives you 160 ounces of food...giving you 16 daily portions. Hope this has helped.

It can be used as a topper to boost protein in your dogs meal but can also be used as a food.
