TOOB animals are great!
Love TOOB animals! These are just as expected - nice, solid, sturdy toys for my 3 and 5 year old to play with. I actually used these particular ones as cupcake toppers for my son's birthday.

Colorful and vibrant, just wish it had more variety in it.
These are great! I got the bug/insect one as well and I just wish this one had a bit more variety in it, which is the reason for the 4 stars. These are very well made and look very realistic. I love this brand and these little tubes of animals, I can't wait to get more for my animal loving toddler!

Okay as toys, scientifically inaccurate as teaching models
I usually love Safari Ltd's animal models, but why do herps and invertebrates always get the short end of the modeling stick? Unlike mammals and, to an extent, birds, these snakes and lizards are not accurate to their species' description, when indeed they are detailed enough to even be recognizable as belonging to an individual species. Also, ugh, salamanders are amphibians, not squamata (scaled reptiles including snakes, iguanas, and chameleons).By comparison, Safari's identically priced toobs of mammals, birds, and themed groups are better painted, more scientifically accurate, and modeled after real species (rather than composites or made-up animals), which makes them much more useful as teaching tools.
