Used these to break up several copperhead nests in my backyard
These granules eliminated several copperhead nests in our backyard. No snakes were harmed as I left an outlet for the snakes in each next to follow. It was a relief to not have the snakes on our lawn furniture, in our dog play areas, under our pergolas and other places. Very effective repellent that doesn’t smell too bad.

Buy enough to cover important AREAS
I think this stuff works better than I wanted it to.I live out in the country and park my truck under a awning where there is a boat and two other vehicles, away from the house. In the sand I could see tracks of a HUGE snake that had been going under my husband and my pickups. Well, that freaked me out and I refused to park under there until he cleaned up out there and sprinkled this out there. That evening about 12:30 or 1 AM my husband went outside (barefooted) to smoke. And as he was walking back toward the house this huge snake lifted up, hissing and it was pissed off. I have never seen a snaked lift up that high. He yelled at me, because I was inside. I could barely hear him but the dogs were going crazy. So I looked outside and there was my husband, barefoot in his boxers, (he is going to kill me for telling this) trapped from coming in the house. He told me to get a shovel. YEAH RIGHT....I am going outside, with that snake standing up, hissing to take him a shovel. So I just reached in and grabbed the shotgun. What this story is for, is buy enough to sprinkle not only around your vehicles, but around your home to.

The powerful odor keeps them away temporarily
The snake-a-way pack was incorrectly sealed and it spilled in box during shipment. I could smell the strong odor before opening the shipping box. No telling what the postoffice thought I was having delivered; however, my mailman told me what it was because he had purchased this product before. He explained it was a good product but I would need to retreat my area after rain because it kills off the strong odor when it becomes wet. I noticed it states this on the package as well. You must use gloves when treating your area. It is very strong. It is hazardous to domestic animals. I know this product works well from hearing good reports from several people that I know personally. I live in the deep south where rattlesnakes and copperheads are plentiful. Anything that helps to keep them out of my yard is great by me. Every spring when the weather warms I see 'em coming out to sun, but so far I have not seen any.***Update May 6th, Snake-A-Way does work good but not for very long. I garden in the spring and I saw no snakes for the first couple of weeks after using this product. Usually I would have killed 3-4 snakes during this time. Now that it's rained several times in the past month, the strong smell faded and the snakes are back. Big chicken snake came across the Snake-A-Way perimeter to sun on my walk way. The smell (like moth balls) repels reptiles, but as soon as the smell diminishes, the snakes return. From my experience, I would need to use product every 2-3 weeks for it to work continuously. Would probably last longer without rain.

Snakes got the hint and evacuated the garage
Worked as described. We had several garter snakes showing up in our garage. They'd even lay in the recesses of the garage door, which was a bit startling when you'd open the door and theyd drop down. While not recommended, we spread in the garage as well as outdoors to make sure we got them removed and didn't stumble onto one hidden in the garage. The scent is strong, like mothballs on steroids, which is how it works. Snakes gone in no time flat and haven't returned. Left the repellant spread out for awhile, swept up and disposed of after use.The scent was strong enough to waft indoors, but that was due to using in the garage and was our fault, not the product.

This product really works.
We had a snake issue. Since we are located smacked in the middle of a Preserve area snakes come into our yard to get from one end to the other. Unfortunately we have invaded their space. However, I am very scared of snakes so my husband placed these pellets on the entire perimeter of our home. I haven't seen one since. The packaging states to spread every 3 months so I will def. purchase more. I am very happy with the results. The down side is there is an odor, but it doesnt last long and the results are worth it. Our entire back yard is fenced. so I guess they are going around instead of under our fence to get to the other side.

Apply to often
It says to apply after rain in Oklahoma. That would be two or three times a week during rainy season wouldn’t last long

WORKS AND THATS WHAT COUNTS
I have four dogs, my Yard is fenced and house is on stilts. I let dogs out this pm was standing on balcony looking at themsomething caught my eye was a snake. So called the dogs up stairs and the snake left the yard and went into forest (have nature preservation as my back yard so see lots of critters) don't like snakes tho. Went out again later and saw a small black snake, So time to get out the snake away this is great stuff I put out around fence area and have not seen any for the last few days. I used my last two containers so it was time to come back for more. LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

Still using it and I repack it into bottles so rain doesn't wash the scent away.
Purchased it before and am still a fan of it. I save, clean and drill large holes in ketchup and shampoo bottles and pour in about 1/4 cup of granules. Then they are places where I can keep track of them and refill them if the wind blows out the granules. It keeps the granules sent from being washed away when it rains. The bottles are a good reminder to look before I step. They do seem to work if I keep the bottles full and freshened. Also, if I don't want them to stink up an area, I can move them.Wish they would package them in containers so I wouldn't have to.
