This booklet was better than average . It was written more clearly than the truncated directions that came with our helicopter, which lessened the learning curve considerably.

Has potential, but...
There is some good information in this book. There is also some misinformation in this book. This is either because of the author not truly understanding how certain things work or due to oversimplification in an effort to explain them to beginners without scaring them off. My biggest issue with this book is that the entire first chapter, and various points in the rest of the book, seem like ads for Amazon. I didn't buy the book to hear how great Amazon is (I already understand this and the title is about helicopters) I bought it to hopefully learn something new about a hobby I enjoy. I can't recommend this to anyone.

Book should be called tips for total idiots without any common sense!
Not worth the even low price of $2.99! So many typographical errors, I lost count of them. Really super basic info that was repeated so many times it got a little ridiculous. Things like, "don't fly in bad weather," and, "don't fly around pets and small children," etc., etc. Just silly stuff that anyone with a minimum amount of common sense would know.If you've got even a touch of common sense, you won't need this book. Also, my biggest complaint is it didn't even have one chapter on how to chose and purchase a transmitter! As a newbie, all the different types of transmitters out there and what they can do is confusing to me, but not even a paragraph on different transmitter types, functions, how to chose the one that's right for you, etc.But he did tell me about 10 different ways and ten different times to buy an inexpensive helicopter to learn on -- DUH! Is anyone really going to buy a $500 heli to learn on when there are $30 helis out there for beginners???Don't waste your money on this unhelpful book, but more importantly, don't waste precious time reading something as trite as this.

Basic Information
This is a very basic book written for those wanting to purchase their first R/C helicopter. It briefly explains the various choices and some of the pros and cons of each. However, there are no illustrations or pictures to help explain the text.

remote helicopters
It was not as good as I had hoped it would be. I was looking for more specific hints and instructions. It did have a few things I was not aware of.

to basic
I don't recommend this book. Its to basic on the RC hobby. Plus it doesn't tell you anything about the heli's themselves. So, don't get it.
