I needed a remote key for my Ram Promaster. I'm getting it carved so I can put a hide-a-key under my van. This one looks just like my original one so I'm sure it will work great. This is just the "shell" so my understanding is it will not be programmed "as is". I got this just in case I lock my keys inside. Hope that helps.

The media could not be loaded. Saved me over $500 just buying this to update my key. A bit of finesse with the spring action to rebuild but should fit the chip portion of an old beat up one.Don’t get caught by the Stealerships. Swap the chip into this new shell! Nice product.

A little tricky to swap out, but well worth the effort. OEM quality.

The FOB case on my 500c was cracked and worn. I was able to transfer the circuit board and blade key over to the new case. Now all my buttons are easily readable, key switchblades as it should, and no more cracked & broken case.

I got this because all the markings on my original key fob had worn off, and the key didn't stay folded in. Even though the fitment list starts at 2015, I took a gamble that it would fit my 2014 Ram Promaster 1500, and it did. It comes in a plastic bag, and that is it, no directions, no nothing. So YouTube is your friend, along with a small Phillips and regular screwdriver. I found a utility knife better than the small regular screwdriver to pry apart the case of the original key fob.When I ordered it, the description said it came with all the electronics and a battery, it does not, it is just an empty case with a blank key. The description has since been changed and is now, I believe, more accurate. I used my original key and circuit board and battery. My key fob, like the van, is now 10 years old, so I got a new CR 2032 battery. Like so many aftermarket parts, it is not as well made, but it is OK. I can now tell if I'm locking or unlocking my van, and the key stays put when folded away. The lack of directions cost it one star.
