Q: do you need to use primer?

If using a spray topcoat , yes it is always best to use a primer that is of the same type as your paint and be sure to follow the instructions on the can. Also for a good adhesion to the plastic, it is best to wash all parts to be painted in warm,soapy water, then let it air dry thoroughly before coating the parts with your primer. Just be sure to let the parts airdry do not use papertowels! as the lint will ruin your coating. Most of all, have fun! It's a hobby to enjoy.

Q: Does this come with an engine? and if so is it cat, detriot, big cam cummins, ect?

Yes,it comes with a (engine ), and it's a very detailed motor. I keep all of my instruction sheets, but it doesn't tell me what motor is in it.Can send you a photo of my model if that will help you.

No. This kit does not come with glue or paint.
