Too much bang for your buck.
The sound is amazing!!! I needed something that was close to a flat response for a great price and this is it. I’m very satisfied.

I don't normally write reviews
I don't write reviews too often unless I feel strongly one way or another. In this case, I feel genuinely fortunate to have found this brand. Like... what? I recently had to replace a pair of first gen bluetooth headphones that did their job for a couple of years. I got another "highly rated" and "Amazon favorite" pair- the Phaiser BHS-750. I use bluetooth headphones for calls, music, podcasts, audiobooks, basically all d*mn day. I'm not audiophile but I appreciate a good set of headphones. Anyways that other pair was decent at best in terms of sound, and a POS in terms of quality. Specifically, they broke entirely within two weeks. Wouldnt charge or turn on. So I got around to researching again and was actually researching which headset to get for my new XBOX One X for online play of FPS... and RANDOMLY saw someone mention this brand with the sort of detail and enthusiasm you only see when someone is genuinely hyped on a brand. So I did my research and was reassured that KZ is not too good to be true, but is a diamond in the rough of the Chinese manufacturing landscape that truly goes above and beyond. I checked ReviewMeta to make sure these reviews werent out the horse's rear like I believe Phaisers to have been, and to my chagrin ReviewMeta through several warnings. However, upon discovering the bluetooth attachment and realizing I'd be able to kill two birds with one stone... I was interested enough to do some more research, manually reading through lots of reviews. (I'm annoyingly diligent, it even annoys me). Sure enough, the reviews seemed genuine in my opinion, as I'm sure you see too if you're reading these. So I rolled the dice and bought the ES4's and the bluetooth necklace thing (the newer version). Here's how I can sum up my experience so far: The hype did NOT disappoint. In fact, I'm thoroughly impressed despite my already hyped expectations. Already planning on recommending these to friends and families and will be buying these as gifts.Couple of PROS that I really appreciate:- ES4s obviously sound fantastic, as is required for a 5 star review. I mean these really are just beautiful in the canals.- They seat REALLY well. In shopping for bluetooth earbuds in the past, I wanted something that hooked on the ear in some way. Unfortunately, the only ones that do have corrupted reviews and bulky designs. This memory metal, IEM hook-over-ear design is literally perfect. It's low profile and extremely effective, both with the "stock" wire and the bluetooth necklace attachment, it simply feels comfortable and perfectly secure.- Construction is lightweight yet solid. The only other notes to mention is that having come from over-bassed headphones for a longtime, at first these seemed to be underpowered on the low HZ (yet defined in sound architecture). However, after a couple days of use, I realized it only seemed that way exactly because of what I mentioned above, I had been conditioned to listen to all sounds with way more bass than what was intended due to the first gen earbuds designed for idiots (PUGZ, terrible brand) that I had used for years. Now that I am accustomed to it, I appreciate hearing the music and sounds from videogames as they are meant to be heard. Like, I unequivocally prefer it because I understand it - and it sounds better. As a note from someone who deeply resents the corrupted, manipulated B.S. that the Amazon review system (along with just about every other review system) has degraded to: I have no affiliation with KZ or Yinoo beyond being a new customer, nor was I given any discounts or compensated for writing this in any way. I am just genuinely and thoroughly pleased with a GOOD company and want to help a GOOD company grow because it benefits us consumers. THANK YOU KZ FOR YOUR INTEGRITY!TL:DR buy these immediately if you're not satisfied I will personally refund you lol. They're amazing in every way from sound quality to fit to value.

Well balanced but may be an uncomfortable fit. Comparison to Android AKGs & Standard Apple Earphones
Basic Apple Earphones -Bass is strong (but it could be too strong and "poppy" for some people's taste).Fuller sound than the AKG, but overall it sounds as if you are listening to something from another room, like something is in the way.AKG (These came with my S10 note) - Generally opposite performance to the Apple earphones.Bass is weak, but treble comes through clearer.(You would need to really shove these deep in your ear to feel the bass in the back. Foam ear tips help alleviate this problem, so if you already like the AKGs but still think the bass could be more powerful, maybe try some foam ear tips on them.)KZ ES4 - Balanced just right while also being clear. Bass and treble can both be heard clearly without any of them overpowering each other. With the previous earphones I mentioned (AKG and Apple), I would need to carefully adjust the equalizer settings on my devices, but with the KZ ES4, I think it's perfectly fine at default (but I do raise the high ends very slightly to an almost minuscule amount for my taste, just to illustrate that they are just great out of the box). Do not expect to get headphone sound quality from these though. If you want that, then get headphones.Negatives - The only reason I wouldn't recommend these to everyone is that the shape of them can be a big turn off and can actually be reasonably uncomfortable as the shape of your ears may not be compatible with the shape design of the KZs.I actually found them to be uncomfortable just in my right ear, but my left ear feels just fine. I think my right ear canal may be oddly different in shape , which is why I could easily see this being uncomfortable for others. I would 100% recommend these ONLY IF they had a more standard design that most people are used to, but I would recommend these if they were aware of this disclaimer and didn't mind trying them out themselves.Minor details:The microphone for the KZ ES4 is poor in that it picks up noise easily, so static can clearly be heard in a recording, but I think the recording comes across much fuller than the AKG's microphone, which has a "tinny" sound on playback, but the AKG doesn't pick-up background noise as easily while also being able to record voices more clearly. There is also just one button on the KZ mic for playing and pausing music, where other earphones have at least three for volume up/down and pause/play. Overall microphone-wise, the KZ ES4's mic is functional by usual standards and should not normally be a deal breaker, since it's not the main focus of the product. The cable does feel nice, but also flimsy at the same time. Because it's not a threaded, they can tangle way more often than the AKGs.Noise cancelling: Don't expect these to cancel noise through the same method that noise-cancelling headphones do through a microphone. Instead, the KZ does "noise-blocking" in how, if you wear them correctly with the correct ear tip size, low noises such as a running fan can be deafened just a bit. Kind of the same effect as earplugs, or foam ear tips.In short, the KZ ES4s deliver clear and balanced bass and treble tones, which is great at such a low price. The only possible turn-off is the shape is not for everyone.(I've only had them for a week, but if they broke somewhere down the line, I'd probably buy another pair as I'm really satisfied with the sound.)

There are better (more expensive) IEMs, but these are solid and better than price indicates
When our band started, I went hunting for advice in online forums for musicians, and lots of people suggested this model for how inexpensive it is.I know if you run really high volume on a stage, the limits of IEM drivers will eventually become more apparent; but I have never had trouble with the quality I hear in these (several years of use). I recommend them often, with the caveat that if they are not adequate, you're only out a very small pocketful of money; and if you have to buy a better pair someday, these are still good to keep as a fallback when you are out on a gig.I chose the version that has a built-in mic in the cables, because I spend a lot of time in online calls/videoconferences in my day job -- and it's really nice to have the comfort of the over-the-ear cable angle instead of the regular earbuds that hang straight down.At this price point, it's also a great gift to performers that are new to IEMs, or musicians that travel significantly and can always use a spare pair. I gave one to my son who had been very happy with his Sony-branded pair (much more expensive), and he ended up liking these better.
