useless - only Volvo can program and only their own
I talked to 2 dealers and 2 locksmiths - same answer every time - can only be programmed by a dealer and they will only program what they sell - for $600. What a rip off all around! Caveat emptor if you buy a Volvo (nice cars though)

Volvo wants $400 to program this and will not guarantee that it will work.

I assume it works
My Volvo dealer is 75 miles away, and my local locksmith can't program this, as I find out now. Next time I go to the Volvo dealer, I'll ask them to program it; my guess is they will not. It would be nice to get some guidance from the manufacturer on how you can actually get this fob programmed!That being said, it looks very similar to the original fob, and the construction and materials appear to be high quality. Probably worth giving it a shot at the price, if you know how to get it programmed.

It works! You don’t need the dealership. You need a laptop,OBD plug and trickle charger to DIY.

Good quality, easy to program using Orbit or Vida.The only way you can tell it's not from Volvo is the missing logo on the case.

Works.
Cheaper than alternatives, feels the same, no logo, some spelling errors. Works good once set up, which is the rub but not a part of this conversation.
