Love this. So much nicer than the aluminum ones that corrode. I was surprised to see it includes a case. There's and included allen wrench to adjust the tension of the over-center clamps so that there is no slipping.

Feels robust enough to do the job and last a while.

Every Christmas, we string lights on a 15-foot pine tree in the yard. This pole is turning out to be a godsend, letting me hang and adjust the lights from the ground. It's very light, sturdy, non-conductive, and the boat-hook attachment is perfect for pushing and pulling the light strings over and around branches. I'm already thinking of other uses: the standard threaded end will accommodate all kinds of attachments.

This is a nice 12' pole - quick and easy to use and light weight.The section clamps are a small lever locking mechanism - which can loosen up but they have included the needed allen wrench to make adjustments and when adjusted correctly, they work well and hold the pole sections well.The pole can have a slight flex or rattle between some sections when fully extended but tightening the clamps and leaving the pole just an inch shorter at each section made it very sturdy and stiff - it's still very usable fully extended.The pole end has a semi-universal "paint pole" threaded end that easily screws into the boat hook - but also fit my soft scrub brush for cleaning the roof of the truck or the solar panels on the house - so it can be used for more tasks.The pole comes with a neoprene cover to protect it when not in use - it won't fit with the hook installed but it is a nice protective sleeve for the pole.Carbon fiber is generally expensive but I think this is a very reasonable price for what it is - its well made.

The replacement pole is fine and as described. The clamps needed a little bit of tightening with the included hex wrench and then they held well. (If they are not properly adjusted and tightened, the sections will slip.) The first pole received was cracked longitudinally in all four sections. Amazon did provide a replacement, but seems an unnecessary hassle when manufacturers outsource QC to their customers. The pole comes in a cute and unnecessary neoprene case. The hook portion will protrude. One nice thing about the pole is the standard square thread which is versatile and allows attachment to lots of other ends like brooms, mops, hooks, bulb changers, etc. Overall, lower quality than expected based on the description, but satisfactory for noncritical and light-duty use.

My first one came in damaged packaging, and the hook was missing. I contacted the seller and they immediately shipped a replacement. So that was great.This is light weight and extendable I have used on the boat, with my camper, and also at home with our pool to get floats, and other items out of reach.I have also swapped the hook for a window brush to help clean off the RV solar panels. It has been very versatile for me and love how lightweight.It comes with an Allen wrench I did have to use to tighten the friction clips so it would stay in the position I wanted, but only the once so far.
