Awesome Device, Unbelievable Price!
Works great. Took some time to get everything running as per my requirement, but finally I had used the following setup to get it up (-to-date) and running:1) Get ESPlorer2) Get nodemcu-flasher-master (windows s/w - will require windows)3) Goto nodemcu-build.com4) Build a new binary without changing any options(selection set).5) Flash the binary using nodemcu-flasher-master6) Open ESPlorer with baud-rate 115200.I am using LUA to script - to make an HTTP GET call to a web-service (hosted on local network).

I had to replace it one time, but works after replacing.
The one I got was faulty. It was not able to flash. Probably flash was dead. The one I got as replacement, it cannot do 921600 BAUD rate as upload rate (probably a poor quality FTDI inside) all the other node mcu I have can do that BAUD for upload. 115200 BAUD rate works flawlessly. It is a standard ESP8266 node mcu module with all the perks and weakness as the original one.

Nice addition to my collection of IOT devices
I already own raspberry pi 1, 2 and 3, beaglebone black, BBC Micro:bit and chip. I bought NodeMcu to add it to my collection. The Nodemcu version I purchased is from the seller Robo India and I got the Amica version. The board looks really good and as soon as I got it I wanted to start using it on my project. To get started, I searched nodemcu on google and found nodemcu.com website which was completely useless. The docs that are actually helpful was at nodemcu.readthedocs.io which was the fourth link in the result.I connected the nodemcu with my laptop and tried to connect to it using minicom using 9600 8N1 as written on both the documentation site and the board but that didn't worked. Instead found that I needed to use 115200 8N1. The hardware flow control has to be disabled and software flow control has to be enabled to interact with the board.Haven't done much with it yet as I have got it today itself, but have set up a docker build environment and have updated the firmware to the latest 2.0.0 version. For others who want to update to the latest version, please note that If you will flash 2.0.0 version, the led present on the board will light for a fraction of a second when you will power on the board. As it won't be doing that heart beat routine, don't get confused and think that the board is not booting or something. The other different in 2.0 firmware is that the default wifi name will be changed from AI-thinker to something starrting with ESP.I will continue my exploration. Hope my review will help others on their journey with this board.

Best!!!!
Working correctly. Only need to reset after receiving the nodeMCU. Connects my Dlink wifi as well as my phone wifi in less than 2seconds. Have been using this board with Blynk,Arduino and 8 module relay. No issues with the board. Program uploads quickly via Arduino IDE

OK for prototyping and hobby projects
The media could not be loaded. The processor module is functional but not perfect. Processor's power on reset does not work properly on this board. The program used for home automation operates only when forced reset through the reset button on the board. Good for hobby projects and proof of concept and prototype work. Used it with Amazon Echo for voice control of lights and it works after hard reset. Packaging of the product could have been better as the module was received with some of the pins bent.

Not functioning , waste of money
The product is completely useless...The program doesn't upload in the node mcu...It is not at all functional...just an hardware that resembles node mcu.... complete waste of money

Light and powerful
Good quality board. It can be used for many purposes according to your needs but you have to program it according to your needs. The product I got didnot any programs it just tramitted wifi signals . Later I programmed it as a wifi jammer . You can also use it for other purposes. It needs power for it's working .for powering you can connect it to you smartphone using OTG cable , you also connect it to a power bank with adata Cable.Demo videos on how to program it is available in YouTube please check it if neededIf you have any doubt please leave your questions in questions section.
