It is working as an ingredient in my orchid mix. Using all natural stuff it is possible some chemicals got on my media so the charcoal makes me feel like the roots have a better chance., Not sure it is char or what they call bio char. Amz is not the best at giving results to searches that are relevant, there is a lot of not relevant stuff that comes up so even if I put it as a criteria...I get whatever it displays.

This was perfect for my plant terrarium just the right amount and did not make a mess out of the bag.

So I have a variety of plants, varying with succulents, tropical, and more rare tropical. As a plant person I mix each pot of soil for the plant. When I began getting into more expensive plants every guide recommended charcoal to help remove toxins. I have used this with my monstera Albo, and a variety of philos and alocasias. So far all of my plants have been doing wonderfully. I think is a must have for any collector or plant person who really cares about their plants.

I swear I choose a bigger package not sure why this would be in such a small quantity. Disappointed

What can I say about Rainflow Horticultural Charcoal? Apparently I'm not allowed to say much of anything truthful about this, despite several attempts. Everything I write gets rejected. Well, it's definitely small pieces of charcoal of some sort.

My wife read that adding charcoal to the orchid mixture helps with the drainage and health of the orchid plant. She is very happy with this product and has added it to her orchid mix so every time she repots she uses it. The pieces are quite small so they might fall through a pot if there are large openings. other than that Irecommend this product.

This charcoal looks very clean. I'm using it for my indoor plants to improve drainage. I use charcoal from my firepit for gardening outdoors. The charcoal is supposed to provide a place for beneficial microbes in the garden as well improving drainage. For my indoor plants, though, I wanted something finer and cleaner. This product fulfills that need.
