hi, it is between the frame although it is slightly smaller than the 30X40cm as the frame itself has to slightly overlap a 30x40cm print/photo in order to hold it in the frame.

I have just re-measured my frame and on the outside it is 28.1/2inches wide with a drop of 40.1/4inches. The frame is approximately 3/4inch wide all round. So you need to deduct this measurement from the frame size to give you a display size inside. I purchased two and they were in oak coloured material. They look very good.

This is the glass size, and you have tot deduct a few Millimeters due to the width of the frame itself.
