UPDATE BELOWI ordered this for my nephew who loves building and making things. I can't wait for him to build it and show me! The instructions seem pretty straightforward. I'll update the review with a picture when he's done!***UPDATE***10/10 Loved building this.So, I originally planned on giving this to my young nephew, but upon further inspection, I knew it would be a big undertaking for a kid who's growing up with YouTube shorts, TikTok, and at least 2 screens going in front of them at all times. Basically, I decided to keep it and build it myself and I'm so glad I sat aside 2-3 hours to complete this. I grew up on Lego and wanting to be an architect and haven't dabbled in anything related since graduating 20 years ago. This was right up my alley. It was like meditation following the directions and putting the super tiny pieces together. The company MindXplore (perfect name by the way) deserves so much credit for making a quality product here and that's why I'm back updating this review. No missing pieces. Well labeled packages to make the build easier. Perfect picture instructions with no long wording needed. All of the pieces fit perfectly together. It made me want to immediately go by a mechanical watch because it made me appreciate what an amazing piece of engineering those are. So that's it. If you're interested in this or think you would like to try it. Buy it! I'm going to get a couple of the other models and look forward to building them. The nice box with photos of the model is not what is received! Arrived in a plain box with sticker in Chinese on the side. Inside the box was a gold envelope with a pile of small bags of parts. The instructions are translated but not great and I can’t give this as a gift as it looks like a dollar store purchase and doesn’t even show what it is supposed to turn into. Do not recommend

The MindXplore 3D Insect Metal Puzzle is a solid kit, though it didn't quite hit the mark of being particularly engaging. The instructions were on the terse side but sufficiently clear to guide me through the assembly process without major issues.A few steps in the build were tedious, requiring careful placement and patience, which provided a mild sense of satisfaction upon completion. However, the overall building experience lacked a bit of excitement.The finished model has a "steampunk" style and carries a "found object" aesthetic, which is interesting an I do enjoy it. It's an okay representation of what it sets out to be but doesn't particularly stand out in my collection.I would suggest this kit for builders aged 10 and older, primarily due to the precision required in assembling some of the smaller parts. While I did enjoy the process to a certain extent, I wouldn't describe it as highly engaging.Overall, the MindXplore 3D Insect Metal Puzzle is worth a build if you're curious, but I wouldn't go as far as to recommend it enthusiastically.
