I like it a lot, sadly it got broke Mar 14, 2025 during a windstorm
EDIT 24 Mar 2025: I haven't used the unit much since breaking it, just 2-3 times for a short period of time. I knew there was some white dust from using it, I just didn't now how much until now. When I cleaned the front filters of my computer case, which sits not too far from the humidifier but not right next to, the dust was white instead of brown, but it seemed like the normal amount that I would clean off before; and the top of the case I was always wiping dust off each day and it seems no worse when the humidifier runs, I think. But I was just told that when the furnace filter was changed it was covered in white dust when normally there's just some cat hair and maybe a little bit of other hair and dust noticeable to the person who usually changes it, so it seems that a lot of it is getting sucked in through the air return vent that's across the room from where the humidifier sits; I wouldn't doubt it is settling in the ducts, too. The furnace is in the basement under and slightly over from my room, so pretty close. My dresser, between the humidifier and the air return vent, was quite dusty on the top only, but I honestly couldn't say it's because of the humidifier since I'm a slacker and don't dust like I should (house is carpeted and stuff gets dusty very quickly). So now I'm debating if I should buy another or try again to find a decent one with a filter since we have hard water and buying filtered water isn't feasible. It's a shame because I otherwise like this one.14 Mar 2025:I got this during the black Friday sale for about $23 and I've been using it since around December 5, 2024. It seems to work really well as long as the outside temp is at or above freezing, when the temp is at freezing or below it struggles to keep humidity at 20% (at least according to the hygrometer I have in my room). It's been easy to clean, so far, and any little bit of mold that showed up because I went too long between cleanings was easily taken care of. You do go through a lot of vinegar, though, if you're soaking it like the instructions say. I use the nightlight on it to know when I have it on, so if I run it at night (which is when I run it most) I have the light on; it's kind of bright, but not too bad for me. The auto shutoff works, but it rarely reaches that point; I did it once just to see if it worked like it's supposed to. I run the humidifier most often from around 2am until anywhere between 8am and Noon, just whenever I wake up and feel like turning it off. I only need to fill it once a day, if I use it a lot so it lasts a good while for my use.The downside is that today's (Mar 14, 2025) windstorm blew the unit off the kitchen counter where I had it drying after cleaning and broke it; I should have been smarter, but I didn't think it would happen (it survived all the other gusts, but this one must have been stronger). It's the vent area where the scent tray goes into that almost completely broke off, and I can't tell for sure but the tank my have loosened a bit or something, but I didn't see any leaks or anything that really sticks out when I checked to see if it still worked; the auto shutoff still functions, too. May end up having to buy another one, though.

Be patient, use the manual
I received this yesterday and was anxious to get it going as we have been sick and I wanted to put essential oil Eucalyptus in the tray. The unit worked great for about an hour and then I noticed that it wasn't putting out much mist, especially at the lower settings on the dial. I let the water run out and I refilled it about halfway. I turned it on before I went to bed because I wanted to breathe in the eucalyptus. By morning it was putting out strong mist. And when I turned the dial to lower settings it was working much better. I again let it run until it shut off. The light stays on when it shuts off, by the way. And I refilled it all the way to the line with water. It wouldn't put out any mist. I had to take out about a third of the water and then it worked great. I think you have to be conscientious of how much water you start with and you also need to watch the temperature of the water. Room temperature water is recommended and seems to work best.. at least so far. The unit comes with a very helpful manual with troubleshooting actions for a variety of possible problems. I initially was planning on returning the unit but after giving it some time I figured out the problem waa probably something I was doing wrong. I can't really say if the unit is helping with the humidity in our house because it has only been running for a day. But it does seem like it will be helpful when we are experiencing chest congestion, especially since you can use essential oil pads with. I ordered some additional pads online. As of right now I am very satisfied with the product and the price. If my opinion changes I will be sure to write an update.

My favorite with some drawbacks
My favorite humidifier so far with some drawbacks. I've tried tons of humidifiers. My main goal is to find one that is easy to clean because if you can't reach all the crevices, you're putting mold into your air. These are the easiest to clean by far. There's a little circle float disc in the bottom. The cap comes off if you pull it. Most do not. Super easy to clean but buy some crevice cleaning tools on Amazon. Make sure you put painters tape over the vent at the top and the essential oil tray to keep water out when you clean it. Wish it was ETL or UL listed.I've ordered 3 of them. A little inconsistent with the knob control when trying to turn it down depending on the unit. Super quiet. It is annoying to advertise BPA free but when I reached out, they said only the basin can be confirmed as BPA free... wish people were more transparent in their ads. Knowing this is a cheap humidifier, it's pretty great. Some day there will be a truly BPA free one that's easy to clean.

Great product
This is the absolute best humidifier I have purchased. Still going strong a year or so later.
