I return this because the instruction sheet was really long and really complicated.

We have a ton of remotes, several universal remotes of various brands and 3 logi-tech programmable remotes.This one has some dedicated buttons that I thought would be useful and they are.The remote feels good in your hand and it stands straight up on its base vertically.The issue making it unusable for me is that with LG tvs you can program number 0-9 to be shortcuts to inputs or apps, this is one of our most heavuly used features.Using the numerical short cuts requires you to hold the button down for 1-2 seconds then it triggers.Whenever you hold any of the buttons on this remote down it doesnt work like a typical remote, basically it repeats the key press over and over while held. So when we hold #3 down you see it sends 3 over and over, 3-3-3-3-3, which doesnt trigger the LG shortcut.This is the only universal remote we have that behaves this way but it makes it unusable for us.

Not much to say about this one, other than it did not work with our Insignia TV - could not find a code for it.

The main reason I got this TV remote was to have a lighted remote so I can see the buttons in the dark. So I was a little disappointed to realize that they were "glow in the dark" illuminated, as opposed to LED backlit.As for the function, it was simple to program, and surprisingly, so universal that it operated two different brands of TV without reprogramming. More importantly than being backlit, is that the buttons are very tactile, and can be identified by feel without even looking.

Exactly as described easy to install simple instructions and works fine

It’s this cool purple color and the buttons glow at night. We just got a Samsung Smart TV in the bedroom and needed an extra remote so there would be one on both nightstands. It’s soooooooo easy to program for our TV - just hold down the Set and 3 keys for 5 seconds and BOOM. All the buttons work too. If I hit the Samsung Smart TV it comes right up, same for Netflix, Amazon Prime TV, etc. Very nice to have shortcut keys that work. My other favorite thing is the shape of this remote, fat at the base and tapered at the top so when you grab it in the dark you can immediately tell which end to point toward the TV. Great remote and everything is built tight and right on this one.

This remote doesn't come with instructions, per se. Instead you get a sheet of paper with photos of all the different remotes plus the codes. While my remote wasn't on the list, when I input just the company code (Sony) it worked the first time. There are some functions which I have yet to figure out on it, but it does work.The main con with this is that it is small and the lettering is even smaller. Don't choose this if you have bad eyesight or are over 50!
