This was my first time trying a calabrian chili pepper and it did not disappoint. The perfect amount of spice and the flavor is delicious. It could be added to any dish in my opinion. Definitely give it a try if you like spicy foods.

This stuff is pretty good. It probably will go faster than the sprinkle red pepper. On the hot scale it is like a Jalapeno hot. I put it on a lot of stuff. The heat is that little burn you get after eating when you breathe in slowly. That's the kind of heat I like in my food. on a 1-5 heat scale this is probably a 3 (Just right for food and flavorful)

I love cooking, and am always up for the challenge of experimenting with new ingredients. I was recently introduced to calabrian peppers, and was excited to try out this jar of Crushed Calabrian Peppers in Oil.The product arrived safely in a cute little glass jar with a paper "hat" that gave it the appearance of something I might purchase at the local farm market. While it's not, I really like the flair and appeal, making it stand out as a sort of artisan ingredient in my pantry full of ordinary supermarket-shelf jars. The expiration date was clearly stamped on the product (11/2026), and it included a detailed list of ingredients, nutritional data, and even a caution about potential allergen contamination.The flavor of the crushed peppers is about what I expected: robust, savory, and a nice heat to it. I immediately added some to my "pepper pasta" for an extra kick, and the dish was a hit. I look forward to using it in other pasta or pizza sauces, a spoonful to jazz up the next batch of hummus, and am even contemplating a spicy calabrian salad dressing. This is the kind of ingredient that invites creativity! A word of caution: I did not see any obvious preservatives listed in the ingredients, so I plan to use as much as possible over the next few days and freeze the rest in small cubes to make sure to preserve the freshness.
