Venison sausage tastes great!
I bought the venison sausage and have really enjoyed it. I was hesitant to buy it because of the negative reviews, but I went ahead and bought one to try it. It tastes great! It's not the least bit salty. It's also not gray, as one person claimed. I'm very pleased with the quality and taste. It IS expensive, but I also only eat it as a treat, not every day. I highly recommend it.

Delicious and high quality
I got these for my dogs, to cut up into pieces for treats. I must confess, though, that I now eat them after trying a small piece, discovering that this product is really rather delicious! Even more so when cheese and tomatoes are added. (The dogs still get their treats, just not as much).

extremely salty
I really wanted to love this sausage. Was very surprised to find it so very salty. We couldn't even eat it and had to give it away to a friend. He said the same thing and threw it away. Too expensive for that but if you can't eat it what are you supposed to do.

Good stuff
Nice summer sausage, not all greasy, flavor good, I wouldn't say great but I would buy again...

Really good
The best is the elk one but the others are really good. The venison has that acidic taste to it that you expect from venison. The buffalo is close enough to beef that you would expect

Great choice, very good taste
Picked out a few different brands for a head to head matchup, no contest. Venison is especially good!

Grey and gross- don’t trust it!
Ordered two. The first was normal in color and seemed fine though the taste was underwhelming and just “ok”.The second was a different color. Almost a weird muted grey color. Had an odd smell (not necessarily a “bad” smell, just off and odd) ripped apart top of the sausage to see inside and saw the grey color was throughout the entirety of the sausage so it was not off in color from the casing as the inside was just as grey. The packaging was well sealed so it must have gone bad prior to packaging. The sell by date was Aug 26, 25 so it isn’t a matter of it being past its sell by date. I bought it as it was the cheapest option of the game summer sausage so if you’re choosing this to save on cost, go with the more expensive brands as this is clearly cheaper for a reason. Would not recommend as now the brand itself can’t be trusted.
