Electrolyte Capsules, Low Carb Natural Replacement Rehydration Salts with Magnesium, Zinc, Calcium, & Sodium (100ct)

My husband and I started a low carb keto diet and this was the perfect supplement and has helped us get through the first month. There are many electrolyte products and pills on the market today so how is one supposed to make sense of which one is the best?To me, the most important points to consider are:1) Does it do what it needs to do?YES. Keto Electrolyte contains the necessary minerals and electrolytes for adequate rehydration.2) Does it contain as few “bad” ingredients as possible.YES. Keto Electrolytes contains only the minerals needed for optimum rehydration and avoids artificial sweeteners, colors, etc. In addition some competitors use non-natural forms of electrolytes which doesn't sit well with me.3) Is it priced right?SORT OF. I compared the active ingredients of this product to the other electrolyte supplements in the market and noticed they are using premium plant-based forms for each which is more bioavailable and better absorption. But that comes with a price and there are definitely lower priced electrolyte product out there that don't have the same ingredients.In summary… if you are on a keto or low carb diet. You will absolutely need electrolytes and to stay hydrated. All out of the product I researched, this one seems to be the best for the money.

These seem to be very good electrolytes and the only ones I have been able to find with Zinc and P5P vitamin B6. I won't go into detail regarding all the good things about these electrolytes because other reviews have already done that. What I will do is explain why I knocked a star off a product that I am mostly pleased with: the packaging is terrible. The first bottle I purchased seemed fine, but with the last two bottles, I had to break the cap off in order to get the bottle opened. First, the label is not glued on so that the bottle spins in your hands when you attempt to remove the cap. The cap, in turn, is glued to the bottle (there is an inner, tamper proof seal that is glued to the bottle, and the top of the seal is glued to the bottle cap). Even after I broke the cap, I still had to use pliers to pry the rest of the cap off the bottle. This may seem like a little thing and not enough to warrant dropping a star, but I find it annoying enough that I have been searching for an alternative that is as effective. I am writing this review in hopes that the company will take as much care with their packaging as they seem to take with their product.

I'm not a Doctor nor a nutritionalst. I'm not at liberty to make a comment on weather or not these total hydration capsules work? They don't seem to hurt.

I waited to post when I finished the whole bottlePros:Workouts - it seriously helps me feel hydrated. I am extremely active and usually do at least 6 relatively intense workouts per week.I was struggling because my energy level was so low and I felt really dehydrated - this has been an absolute miracle.Hangovers - For you drinkers out there, it's basically been my hangover cure. I try not to drink all that much but unfortunately my job kind of calls for it and this has helped so much with rehydration post a night on the town....& love they are vegetarian friendly capsulesCons - instructions call for you to take a lot of pills, which can get kind of costly. I am pretty petite so maybe that is why it worked for me, but I took less than was recommended on the bottle

About a month ago, I did a strenuous hike over steep and rugged mountain terrain, gaining 5,000 feet in elevation over a 9-mile hike. I drank plenty of water but experienced fatigue, muscle pain, and cramping. I was sore for days afterwards. Earlier this week, I did an even more strenuous two-day hike partly over similar terrain, gaining (and losing) around 9,000 feet in elevation over 32 miles. I brought some of these Total Hydration capsules with me and took one or two every hour or two along with water. The difference was dramatic. The electrolytes in these capsules allowed me to maintain my strength and avoid even the least bit of muscle pain during the hike. After the hike, I had very little soreness or fatigue and was immediately able to resume my regular activity level.

I originally bought this brand about 4 months ago, and was very pleased, especially with the amount of magnesium it had, compared to competitors. I also appreciate the natural sources of the minerals! I’ve had a long history of heat injury from living in a hot climate, so I rely on chronic mineral supplements now, especially now that Im on the Keto diet for health reasons. Total Hydration’s electrolyte formulation is superior, and doesn’t just rely on Sodium! Plus, the price is very reasonable. If you want the electrolytes without the sugar, I highly recommend Total Hydration’s Keto Electrolytes!
