This is a magnetic "fan" that attaches to a mag type phone case. You then have to plug in a USB C power cord to make it go. There is a fan inside, you can feel air moving. Sometimes the air blows hot, but not always. I do notice the device gets warm, so there may be a cooling effect by heat transfer. I can't really benchmark the effect on my phone. Some of my chips in my S24+ can get really hot, like 140C! They do cool slightly when this runs, but is that because I stopped using the phone while attaching and plugging in the fan device? It doesn't cool the phone to a baseline temperature, just a few degrees. It might help if you have your phone outside on a hot day, but you still need to power the fan either through a plug or a battery pack. Adaptive charging and mag chargers will not power it, it must be plugged in. It does have adhesive to stick it onto your case... if you want. It adheres well on a mag type case magnetically. It sticks out more than an inch and is not a popsocket, holding it like that blocks air flow. It is not comfortable to hold if you have small hands. You have to realky try to touch the fan, there are fins all around the sides so your fingies can't slip in.If you have one of the sturdy cases with the metal kickstand/holding ring, it has nowhere to stick and isn't powerful enough to cool through a thicker case. All in all, this cooler is just ok. Minimal cooling, requires outside power, awkward to hold the phone with it on... It's just not quite enough.

This device cools my phone very well. I used to have to deal with the phone overheating on longer trips if I used GPS and played music. It was so frustrating! I did not adhere it to the back of my phone because it's too bulky to be there permanently. I just keep it in my car so it's there when I need it and place it against the back. I works well and pretty quickly.

The magnet strip is great but the fan immediately gets way to hot
