Exactly what i needed
I wanted a connection that was always powered for my parking mode, and this works perfect. Just plug & play — no need to test the conduction of fuse ports.

A Dash Cam Essential
Apparently my car's accessory port doesn't shutoff when the car turns off. I found that out the hard way after killing my car battery. This solves that problem while avoiding the hassle of a hardwiring kit. It's reasonably priced and it works.

Oh my gosh!!! This is the best thing after air conditioner!
If you have a dashcam, and have it feeding from a cigarette lighter port instead of this, or a fuse box hard wiring, you don't know what you're missing! The install on my Toyota Sienna was a breeze, 5-6 minutes literally, and that's because i took my time to see the best way to route the cable. Now my dash cam has unlimited park mode work time. Instead of the small delay from the other souce where i was feeding it from.Dash cams come with tiny pathetic batteries in them, so you must supply constant power if you want to take advantage of its features like motion detection or park mode. This cable solves that problem in a very easy way, and you get two!!! I'll be installig the other cable tomorrow in my Ford Transit 350 XLT. The only thing i would add to this great package, is a plastic scraper tool to make running the cable behind the trim slightly easier, luckyly for me, my dash cam came with one of these inexpensive but extremely useful tools. I don't se nothing that can be improved about these cables, and for the price! it's a no brainer! The reviews you see with pictures showing destroyed Micro USB ports, and bent pins, that's obviously someone who didn't have the patience to find the best routing for the cable, and instead tried to force the plug or the micro usb port through very small tight spaces. I could have broken mine if i did that too, and it would have been my fault, not the cable's manufacturer. In conclusion, if you're a normal person, who can do something as easy as this without getting frustrated within a minute or so. buy these cables, and enjoy an easier happier life!

OBD Power supply to dashcam
I use this to power my PRUVEEO D90-4CH brand dashcam. When this device is plugged in to the OBD socket, it provides power to the dashcam, regardless of the switch position, O or I, and whether the car ignition is on or not.According to the brochure, the switch in O position should power the dashcam only when the ignition is ON, but it powers the dashcam all the time while it is plugged into the OBD socket.I just rated this 4-star because the switch does not function accordingly, but I need this for parking monitor anyway, which requires constant power.

Faulty ACC Mode. Will only supply constant power in Surveillance Mode
I purchased this pair of power cables for my dash cams hoping it would eliminate the need to tap into my fuse box for hardwire. The two modes O and - seemed like a good idea, however only the - mode really works. Whenever I select the power cable to O mode, my camera only stays on for several minutes before turning off. This constantly occurs when I'm driving, which is when I need the camera to be powered on. Instead, my camera turns on and off nonstop in O mode. In - mode, the camera stays on permanently, until your car battery drops around 11.6 volts. So it does work on - (surveillance) mode, but since the O mode is supposed to turn off after a couple minutes when you turn off your car, this product is useless. Your camera will constantly be on in - mode, which will quickly render any video files overwritten in a short time period. Had high hopes for this product, but looks like I will need to constantly unplug the power cable when I park as I really only need my dash cam on when I'm driving.

Works great
Keeps constant power running to my dash camera and shuts off automatically by 11v.

Great for Low Voltage Items
I bought this to power/charge a mobile hotspot I use in my car for my dashcam's cloud connection. I just wanted a OBD to USB-C cable so that the hotspot would have constant power, without having to hardwire. The fact that this has the option to either cut power after ignition shut off or only if the car's battery power falls to 11.6 volts is a great bonus.Unfortunately, my hotspot requires more than the 3 amps output of this cable. So, it won't power up the hotspot without the hotspot battery installed. It will, however, slowly recharge the hotspot battery when no data is passing through the hotspot and significantly slow the hotspot battery drain when it is transmitting data. So, I plug this cable into a battery pack, which is in turn plugged into the hotspot. Now I never have to take the hotspot out of the car to charge it's battery.Incidentally, I didn't find another OBD to USB cable that was rated higher than 3 amps.

Continuous power, but no parking mode.
The OBD cable effectively powers dash cams, but it has a drawback: it provides continuous power even when the vehicle is off, preventing dash cams from properly entering parking mode.
