A reasonable easy install with the correct tools. Works well for light security. I would recommend this product for cabinet housed valuables.

I used this to lock to secure what is my liquor cabinet in our butler pantry area. This cabinet has two glass doors and though I would have preferred to have an electronic access control installed where I could use just a card or key fob for access.... I didn’t want to have to run power wires and instead elected to install this “analog” solution.The finished product is nice and keeps the cabinet locked. I was afraid there was going to be some play/wiggle when pulling on the doors while locked but I’m pleasantly surprised how sturdy it all feels. I would have preferred a darker colored keyway, something other than the brass. It was nice to get this in a pinch and arrived quickly as well.Last thing to mention; my lock came with literally no instructions or drilling template. I had to use my best judgment and measure but even then I was slightly more to one side than the other and so try to about this duration.

1st off, Great product for locking a cabinet with double doors. Zero instructions but it's pretty common sense. The main hole should be drilled to exactly 11/16. A paddle bit is best. We marked the location where it needed to be installed on the cabinet. Then we traced the product on a piece of paper. It has rounded edges but if you square them off you can easily find dead center for drilling out the shaft by making an X going from corner to corner, it's a weird size so measuring is challenging, just make an X and make life easy. We then taped our template onto the back of cabinet door where we marked its location. I drilled a 1/8 hole all the way through. I then used the 11/16 paddle bit and drilled halfway thru the front, then the back to avoid splintering on bit exit. Put the lock mech through the backside of the cabinet, then add the lock ring over the shaft from the front which holds the lock in place, and allows you that tiny bit of room needed. Once that is done then you can install the 2 screws which hold the mech to the cabinet itself. Install the key assembly and push hard till it clicks which keeps it from coming back out. We then marked the inside of the cabinet to install the lock catches which is the easiest part. Whole process took 20 mins and 5 of that was clean up.

There are no installation instructions included, no mounting templates, nothing. Just a plastic bag full of parts. It's designed for cabinet doors (very thing) not a typical double door, the Amazon description is very vague in this area. Package is missing several screws. Unfortunately I've already bored a hole in my door.

Great product! Just what I needed to add a lock to my kitchen cabinet double doors.We wanted to lock up the liquor cabinet in our kitchen and wanted something that looked professional and minimal impact to the beauty of our cabinets. This product was perfect.I would add, though that a set of instructions / template would make this process easier. At minimum define the size spade bit would be nice in case someone needed to buy it in advance.1. Be careful measuring the correct position/distance for the hole you will bore. Taking into account the existing knob placement and distances of adjacent door and cabinet bottom. Also considering the (included) bracket locations.2. After all dimensions are accounted for, and a center mark for bore-hole is chosen, remove the cabinet door for drilling.3. Secure door on a workbench and using an appropriate spade-bit (mine also has thin/sharp pilot tip). Drill through from the front side to avoide splintering of the front surface wood. A piece of masking tape placed on that location prior to drilling further helps to avoid splintering.4. There were a few more considerations I took to place this lock in the right location, and was very happy with result (photos posted)

Had some worries about getting this one - needed a lock that can lock a double door cabinet - but when it arrived I understood how simple it is to assemble it.I was done with it within 10 minutes, works great, cabinet is locked. :)

It is what you see in the picture and that’s it. Some installation instructions would be nice, but common sense will get it done. The biggest complaint is for the price you would think it would at least come with the mounting hardware.
