Take N Play Peter Sam

Was ok!

My Grandson was desperate to have Peter Sam and for that reason I purchased if for him The engine was very small and I think the price I had to pay was a expensive. Also I do not think that the postage and package needed to be recorded delivery which put up the p & p price. I would not recommend this product.

My son is a lover all things Thomas, and that being the case, we've used these die cast trains as incentives for potty training (worked beautifully). Wooden trains were way to expensive and not portable enough for us, plus diecast can take a beating without too much damage.In particular, Peter Sam is a favorite of our son. Though he looks similar to many of the other trains in the collection, my son always knows instantly which one is Peter Sam even if I don't. He's a nice deep green, of sturdy construction, and is the perfect size for toddler hands. He's a nice addition to any child's collection, especially because he's also a nice character on the show. He drives just fine over the edge or our ottoman (our son's favorite pastime with cars and trains) and has held up to umpteen crashes with the floor.Like the others in the Take-n-Play line, he's durable and cute and looks like the character on TV.

So happy to have been able to find Peter Sam! Do know that he is a bit smaller than the other metal Take-n-Play trains and has a different type of magnet on the front and back - however he does still connect to the other take-n-play trains and will stay connected to them when being played with.

Thomas and friends have always been a standard toy in grandma's household. Sadly, this will be the last. We will then move on to Sofia the First, etc. for my granddaughter.

Love the quality and glad i got it before they stored making them

I bought this model of Peter Sam and thought he was spot on in terms of detailing not only like the one shown in the CGI series, but also with his real life counterpart, Edward Thomas (even the funnel given is realistic if anyone kept in touch of the RWS, since people don't even realize why Peter Sam has a 'Giesl Ejector' funnel, shaped in a triangular shape from the point down to the flat part up). However, If there was one thing I sort of have a nitpick to take note of (and the other narrow gauge engines that were affected by this-Rheneas and Luke, who's soon to be coming), it's the size of their funnels. I don't understand why they have made certain characters who are supposed to have tall funnels, but end up getting short and stumpy ones when made into Take n Play versions... -_-' At least for Trackmaster, there's a legitimate reason WHY their funnels have to be short and stumpy.Overall, this model is nicely detailed (at least it would be nicer if they actually gave Rheneas, Peter Sam, and Luke taller funnels like they're supposed to)!!!
