Ergon TP1 - highly recommended.
Very pleased with this purchase. I'd bought an expensive pair of cycling shoes a couple of years ago and, wearing them on bike rides, I'd never felt fully "dialled in" and would be continually shifting around on the saddle. Although the cleats were set up exactly the same on each shoe, using the markings on the soles, when I used the Ergon TP1 I noticed that there were discrepancies in the position of these (one cleat was further back and angled differently from the other). I popped the shoes into the TP1, made the adjustments, and immediately noticed the difference on subsequent rides. My pedalling was smoother and I was no longer shifting around as I was cycling. The muscle development in my legs has changed too, becoming more balanced, as I've adapted to the new position. It's amazing how much difference small adjustments can make to your enjoyment of cycling. I would recommend a full bike fit if you can afford it, but for £20 the TP1 is an excellent investment.

Folds to save space too.
Has helped me eradicate a thigh strain i kept getting after changing cleats myself once worn and wasnt quite exactly where i needed it. With this....no problems going forward.

Poor instructions still unclear how it is supposed to work
No clear instructions with this item which is paramount to using it. There are some vague instructions on a multi-language pamphlet. There is no handbook with the item as described (I probably would have given more stars if this had been included) I'm sure it would have helped. The measuring scale at the side of the tool needs longer lines going across the board to meet the shoe markers, therefore I don't see the point of these. Additionally the scale for measurement 1 which is the marker for the ball of your foot is on the outside of the shoe, not sure how this is supposed to work as the ball of my foot and most people I know is on the inside of my foot not the outside? The grid squares on the board appear to be in 5mm increments so no good for fine adjustments.
