Great knife set!I'm no "cook", but (as we all know) there's a night and day difference between chinese and German manufacturing. This is the last set I'll ever need to buy, and worth paying a lot more!

I’ve now owned this set for two years, and it’s all still like brand new. They’re all still very sharp. The handles are perfect. They never slip out of your hand and are very smooth. The only downside is that this set didn’t include two specific knives that I wanted so I had to buy them separately but I do not regret this purchase at all. I’ve had ALOT of different sets of knives but none compare to these. These are going to last a long time before you ever need to even think about re-sharpening them!

Nice set of knives. I looked at a bunch of knives before buying these. For the money, they're hard to beat and JA Henkles knives have been around forever. Made in Germany, with good steel, and seem to hold a good edge. I bought a bunch of onions and chopped 'em up just to try these baby's.Hand wash them, make sure they're dry before you put them back in the block, and don't ever chop on surfaces like glass cutting boards or plates. They'll stay sharp for a long time and last for years.

Love my new knife set! Cuts beautifully. The only thing that is odd is it has an open an extra knife slot. I feel like that should be removed or have an additional knife to fill it. But other than that, I have been very happy with my purchase.

I rarely write product review on what I buy but this one is a bit concerning, It's should be placed in false advertising. Why?I attached the picture in the box and as stated, everything is made in Germany. The Steak Knives are made in Spain dan does not have the logo of the "Twin" in the handle, The Scissors is made in China. The rest is made in Germany but the have a different MARKINGS compared to the one in the box, are these even truthfully made in Germany?You can see in the box that the markings are long, with made in germany in vertical, while I received a different one with made in germany in horizontal position. Tried to google and can see some markings are the same as what I have received, they should have updated the box to avoid confusion.I have included a picture in which the logo of the "Twin" in the handle is a bit off rather than being in the middle, so you have these certain feeling that are these knock offs, i don't know... but made in Germany with these quality?, what happened to the QA guys?It includes 13 knives NOT including the block - 14 pcs in total with knife block (correct). But the "Knife Block" have 14 holes, thus there will be 1 hole empty. Wish it was explained in the description, tought I lost one in the shipping.Lastly, I'm giving 4 stars because I was lucky enough to receive the knives in good and complete condition, eq no discoloration, chipping, broken, etc. although it was sent in a box without any security and can be easily opened by anybody without any effort. This is the first item I bought overseas that I literally opened without using any tools, whatsoever. The box was just held by its original packaging without any additional tape or anything to protect from a fall that might damage the knife block, lucky !!! - just plain luck that these knives even arrived in complete condition from Irving USA to Middle East !!! unbelievable.Hats off to DHL people for making that happen! Will not return the item because it will just be a hassle and will use it for my cooking, will know in a few months if these are made in Germany or country beside Germany :)Should I recommend it? If you received the knives in a good condition then it is acceptable for everyday use, but the price is abit high for such circumstances (some are made in spain, china, different markings). If you are certain that you will receive the item as decribed in the box then I would definitely recommend it otherwise you will most likely end up with the same set as mine... might as well go the store as other buyer suggest in the review, you pay what you see - no complains!

I absolutely love this set! They have a good weight, they fit nice in my hand, and they’re super sharp. Not to mention they’re beautiful to look at and an all around quality set of knives. The set includes the block, sharpening steel, scissors, 4 steak knives, a peeling knife, vegetable knife, paring knife, utility knife, bread knife, slicing knife and chef’s knife (see pic for specific info).
