This is one of those things where you smack yourself on the head and wonder why nobody has thought of this before now. It's absolutely brilliant for curly hair!! We try and lift our roots with a brush....it drags through the rest of the hair and makes it frizzy. We try to lift it with a pick, and it still decides what direction it's going to do in. This thing is WONDERFUL to lift and direct the curl where YOU want it to go! If you have areas that naturally want to frizz and not lie nicely (for me, it's the top and front), you can give this a twist and roll it up a bit, hit it with the diffuser (with curly hair product on, of course) and voila! Nice, lovely curls that match the rest of your head. Yes, it's lightweight plastic and I'm seeing where people have had theirs break or fall apart--I've had zero problems. I don't know how I made it almost 59 years in lift without this thing, but I'll never be without it again!!

Glory be, my hair got SO tangled! I had to use that stainless steel remedy to extract it! I read the instructions and watched the videos. All I can saw is, beware. If you have textured/curly hair, be very cautious, or you may be needing a stainless steel remedy (scissors) like me

I was a teen in the 80's, and I still have big hair, lol. This tool gives great volume! I use it close to the scalp and dry with a diffuser. LOVE it!

I was skeptical, but this actually works well. There is a small learning curve, but after one or two tries, you will have the hang of it. I have fine curly hair and this helps me create way more defined curls.

I ended up donating mine it was worth a try but it takes longer than just coiling with my finger so I could take it or leave it.

Didn't work for me. Might be a learning curve, but quicker for me to use my wet brush to curl or finger curl.
