I did not get a chance to use this until long after the return period had passed. It did not work out of the box, it would not tune regardless of the amount of RF power injected. I opened it up and found a couple of incomplete solder connections obvious through visual inspection. Repairing those connections did not resolve the issue (I've seen many reviews on this model where the quality control is awful - loose screws, bad soldering, broken USB connector. I had to repair my brother's unit after his USB connect broke loose. The USB connector is only secured to the board via the copper traces, not physically anchored via pin-in-hole.) I used an industrial microscope to examine all solder connections again and found that whoever assembled the unit failed to strip away the Teflon coating on four wires used in the impedance matching transformer, so there was no connection to the inner copper wire. After fixing this mess the unit finally would tune. I cannot recommend this product unless you like having to troubleshoot and repair the unit fresh out of the box.

It works decent for the price. I used it to tune my CB vertical no ground plane antenna. It does help. It’s not the best by far but it works. Some have reported issues with the solder joints coming loose which prevents the unit from working properly. So far I don’t have any issues. I like it for my use and happy with it so far.
