Asparagus roots
Being a pensioner I can't afford to buy asparagus which I love. So I have planted them in their own bed, I will have to wait a couple of years but I think of it as an investment. Thank you

Being a novice these crowns looked pretty dry but we planted them in a lovely bed and are hoping for a delicious meal in due course

Young plants not mature enough for harvest
Most of them died my friend who grow asparagus had a look said the plants were to young to harvest and that they had to mature. Shame

Already have ferns after planting a few weeks ago, 2 or 3 per root, doubt I will be able to harvest a crop for a couple of years but that’s what you get with asparagus
