Q: What do you have to do to fix the range tap?

You can reduce the oscillation range almost entirely by moving the tabs very close to one another.

Q: Will it shoot in one direction?

You are able to dial it down to a small area, maybe 4ft or so with the vertical fab setting

Q: Need a sprinkler for a 3 x 16 raised bed?

This sprinkler has multiple types of spray patterns/mists etc, and worked well for one season. This year it seems to occasionally get stuck at one side during its cycle and doesn't move after that, without coaxing. I would look more to an oscillating type sprinkler that could be set to not move, for a bed that long and narrow.

Q: I'm confused. Is this for kids or something? I don't understand why it's a merry-go-round.

The product is regular lawn sprinkler. We made it with merry-go-round effect so that the family can enjoy it while watering the lawn and yard.
