Q: is this product okay for seahorses

I haven't had any sea horses since age 13, several decades ago. My memory is that they ate live food, e.g. brine shrimp. If you can get them to eat this, it should sustain them.

Q: Will this work with Beta Fish?

No, it would release way too much food for a betta. Plus this is a terrible fish feeder. It ruined my tank. Don't do it! These feeders are terrible. Go with the old style feeders that look like a big piece of chalk. Benefit to those, they also have water conditioners in them so they might help compensate for not doing water changes while you're away.

Q: Does this float or sink?

Hi S.P. Curtis, we appreciate your question! Remove the tinfoil around the product, and drop it in; it will sink to the bottom. Make sure you use the appropriate amount depending on the size tank and number of fish. Please let us know here at Tetra if you have any other questions!
